You will need an ohmmeter, and the tools to take either the back off, or to lift up the top. If you're not into electronics, you better defer the work to an experience technician.

Unplug unit. Remove knobs, if they interfere with lifting the stove top. Lift stove top from front of oven, proceed to inspect dials for damage. Repair or replace as needed.

Nectar time take a photo first, they generally only go back one way.
removing the door may make it easier open the door see the hinges on the bottom lift up the little cam on each hinge then just lift the door up & it should come out.

You can simply just lift up the white portion of the stove top and lift it about a feet and it should lock into place.

Generally it lifts from the front upward, while being somewhat hinged at the back of the range. This is not really a snap connection but rather it generally will only sit there kind loose.

To lift up cooktop open oven door. Remove 3-4 screws securing cooktop to top of oven. lift up. Top hinges back. The rest is plain to see. Good luck. Will help futher if needed.

There should be 2 release "tabs" between the top surface piece and the main range... e.g. the "slot" in the front of the range.
You'll need to lift slightly on the top surface while pressing these tabs with a thin utensil - like a butter knife or paint scrapper. Be careful to not scratch the paint.
The tabs are located on the front left and right.
In some cases, you can slightly lift the top panel to get a better view of the tabs with a flashlight.
Then, the top should lift up, similar to the hood of a car.
Once inside, it's pretty easy to work on the connections, burners, etc.

Hello abo.... Get an assistant and then open the door about 1/6 of the way to where it stays open by itself.

Next, both of you pull up and out on the door so that you can literally lift it off of it's hinges.

This should be a smooth top range. Smooth tops don't lift for cleaning - only for servicing.

General put screw driver between stove top and over and lift.....it just snaps on there.........abb
