This is cause by many things one of which is a faulty speaker that is going short when operated at high volume. Another is the wiring supply the power to the radio is not "thick" enough hence not able to supply the demand for extra current. Had this same problem with Golf II which I replaced the main supply wire and after that it went to full volume with no cutting off.

I need operator's manual / instructions for Sony CDX-GT11W

The operating instructions and installation guide for the CDW-GT11W are available from the manufacturer's support site: https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=CDXGT11W&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . Click on the Manuals, Specs & Warranty tab. I needed to refresh the next page to download the manual (click on the circle with the arrow going clockwise). The direct link to the manual is currently https://docs.sony.com/release//CDXGT11W.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Audio to speakers from tuner but not from cd?

Are you using an amplifier? If so, you are probably using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on). The blue wire is turned off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning the amplifier off.

Sony CDX-5005 factory installed in a Bryant boat... no out put in any mode to speakers. What replacement unit will fit and hook up to existing harness?

Any DIN style radio will fit onto the existing cut out.
Stay with Sony CDX family. The connect and color code will be the same.
=====
Do you still has the remote control for this Sony CDX-C5005?
This remote has an "ATT" (almost like mute) //// lower left hand button.
Aim the remote to the radio and press the ATT button and see is the volume restore to normal.
Click HERE (skip to page 6) for a sample picture of the remote.

You can download the complete instruction manual in PDF format from Sony CDX-GT11W support website by clicking this link.

After a battery malfunction, my CDX-GT11W unit is totally dead... The fuse seems to be fine & I trying to see if my head unit could be dead or if another issue could exist.

Have you check the fuse to the constant and the fuse for the accessory (usually separately fused)... you can also check the back of the radio, on that model i believe there is a fuse built in under/behind the harness... Hope this helps!

Sony cdx m610 resets itself at half volume

You have a shorted speaker or speaker wire. If a wire is touching metal lightly it may not have full continuity (short) and will work until more voltage (volume) is sent to the speaker and causes the short. Disconnect all speakers at the radio then turn the unit back on. Turn up the volume and see if it cuts out. If it stays on, re-connect speakers one at a time and test. Once you find the problem speaker, disconnect the wire at the speaker then test again. This will eliminate the speaker itself as the problem. Test again. If it still shorts, trace the wire from dash to speaker and look for a cut in the sheathing exposing the wire. Repair or replace the wire and you should be good to go. If the unit cuts out with all speakers disconnected, the problem is internal and will need to be serviced. Before you repair/ or replace the unit either check all the wiring and the speakers or have someone do it for you so it does not give you a repeat performance. Hope this helps.
