My rca tv 20f424t doesn.'t show thw correct

tried with other monitor doesn't work?. if no the cable box has a problem. if yes then check this in your tv, the settings in the tv must select cable and then check the cable wire if it is good and properly hooked up at the tv.

your problem is likely the universal remote will not enter the menu and engage the auto program this set has--if it does and finds nothing either no signal or a bad tuner in the set.

If set has audio video jacks see if a DVD etc works on them--can always hook up signal to those inputs to bypass the problem.

Bad tact switches on control pc board. Can only access by taking back off and they are on front of tv.

That sucks about your tv. Mine just turned 3 years old. Never had a problem with it. But you seriously can't expect wal-mart to take back and exchange a 3 year old tv. Come on. That would be stupid for walmart to do. Even RCA prolly dosent do more than a 1 year warranty. Unless you purchased the warranty from walmart, it will be cheaper to just get a 19 inch lcd tv now. Cheapest I see them on sale for is only $99.99

• Yes, your TV has a digital tuner in it. You can even use the over the air digital channels or if you prefer, basic digital cable. Quite the nice TV set.

With the tv cable hooked up do another channel scan and that should find all the channels again. As for the DVD there should be a source button or a tv/video button for that :) hope this helps :)

Best thing is go to Walmart and buy an RCA universal, cost you around $ 10

your line in or front RCA yellow/white/red cable input is usually defaulted to channel -1 and is accesible by either pressing the tv/video button on tv or remote or sometimes by scrolling down channels past 1

Problem with channel skipping has rectified itself. I simply unplugged the set and and started over with remote intructions on signal and channel setting. The tv was also turning itself off and on, this also has ceased. Thanks, hope I don't need you later.
