My motorola razr phone will not work. When I turn

My motorola razr phone will not work. When I turn it on it shows no reception and has a warning message the says "Insert SIM"

This happens periodically.

I have solved the problem by turning the phone off and then on again. This works sometimes.

Hi when you take that back cover off take out the battery and look for where the sim card is located. It will be very small and slid into a little holder. Take that SIM card out and make sure that the contacts on it line up with the contacts in its Holder. If the SIM is not in right it will always tell you Insert SIM. These phones rely on that SIM Card for the Information and Other Settings they need to work properly.
If you still get that Insert SIM message then it is possible that your phone was not Programmed Properly at the Place You Bought it. Take it to them and they will fix it Free.

Motorola razr has red dot inside phone

The phone has gotten wet somehow.......

Remove the battery!! Let the phone sit in a warm place for several days. Keep checking once a day or so to see if it will work. Always remove the battery while drying. If after a few days of drying it still is not fucntioning, it's wasted!

No signal

you need to remember that V3 razr are Quad band phones meaning that they have 4 bands 850/900/1800/1900mhz, you need to go to the network setting change it from automatic to manual and change the frequency to the correct one that you mobile provider works on...that should correct the phone problem.

No reception? HELP??

It sounds like your phone is not unlocked. Did you get the phone through a different provider and your sim card through some one else? For ex, here in US, a cingular SIM will not work in a Sprint phone.

Reception with bluetooth is bad

Unfortunately there isn't a "user servicable solution" that I know of. Most cell phones are designed that way. You can replace batteries, front/backs, bezels, keyboards, and screens but you can't fix the "guts". Only a qualified licensed repairman can fix this because it's under FCC regs.
