SOURCE: JVC KD-LX333 car stereo turns on, but then shut off and wont...

TAKE IT OUT AND TRY IT ON A 12V BATERRY AND IF IT TURNS ON ITS GOOD AND IF IT DOESNT IS NOT GOOD. IF IT TURNS ON FOLLOW UR CONSTAN AND UR POWER WIRES AND SEE IF IT HAS A FUSE BOX IN THE BOAT/ CHECK THOSE FUSES. AND CHECK UR BOAT BATTERY TOO CAUSE IT COULD HAVE DIED WHEN TESTING THE STEREO TOO IT HAPPENS ALOT ON BOATS

SOURCE: static noise from car stereo

I had a static/hiss sound coming from one speaker on my Sony head unit. The stereo was brand new and had just installed it. The stereo that it replaced had no static. Turns out it was the input setting on the separate amplifier being too high. The stereo has 4 volt pre-amp outputs.

On my 2003 Avalanche, after the radio has been on for a few minutes static starts in the front right speaker then travels to all of them. As the static gets louder the radio volume goes down and the static...

take out the speaker in question and test it.
a 9v battery is good enough to 'burp' it.
if it makes a scratchy noise when you put power to it then you have a short in the voice coil.
Burping a speaker is just a short power up. Don't hold power to it.
Tap it on and off like a music note measure.

My jvc RX-5020 VBK IS NOT WORKING AT MAX VOLUME,ON SCREEN APPEARS OVERLOAD SOUND STOPS AND I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF AND TURN IT ON AGAIN ! WHAT IS GOING ON???

You must be using speakers with lower impedance than what is recommended. This causes the amplifier to over load at high volumes. The protection circuit shuts down the Amplifier to prevent further damage.
And please remember no amplifier is designed to run at full volume, same as a car speed - Even though the speedometer might show max: speed 200Miles per hour would you do it???

The sound chip may have gone in the stereo, especially if someone has had it on very loud they sometimes blow, otherwise you have 2 speaker wires touching each other, that way you only get static noise, insidee the door they sometimes come free and touch the body

Check all your speaker wires first.

JVC RX558 VBK, Crackling noise from speakers

A quick quess of mine is the following:

The OVERLOAD indicator lights up when the receiver is maxing out on the current it is sending to the speakers. My guess is there is possibly something wrong with the receiver itself, especially since the B speakers won't play. Either that, or something is broken in your speakers or you are using a set of speakers that have too low an impedance rating for your receiver.
