I have a cannon mp390 and there are smudges on the scanner glass inside the unit, is there any way for the glass to be removed and cleaned? any thing scanned comes out with these marks on them.
Hi im jules_09,the scanner glas should not be remove from the unit because if it is remove you might get a error code,so just get a soft cloth or a any kind of tissue and table tissue will do then apply a glass cleaner on it then gently rob it on the scanner glass until the glass is clean just make sure the unit is off and ulplug.if the scanner glass is cleaned

i have tried that, the marks seem to inside the unit under the scanning area. it looks almost like condesation, but its got a red sheen to it. i brought the printer a year or so ago but have never need to use the scanner untill now. every thing else is fine with the unit apart from these marks. cannon are not intreasted due to it being out of warrenty by a couple of months.
The smudges are on the INSIDE of the glass... It has to be opened to clean it, because there's no way to get to them otherwise...
