I would like to make my SAMSUNG HT-F5500W region free

I have done searches for this and found older model region free codes, but none of them seem to work. Can you help me find the right code and what exactly to do to make it region free?

Step 2 Now, close tray. the screen should says "no disk"
Step 3 Press the BLACK button BELOW the yellow "C" button.
caution: by mistake if you press the repeat A-B button bellow the green "B" button, these instruction will not work
Step 4 Press 7-6-8-8-4 (or your region code).
Step 5 The current region code will display at the top left of the screen.
Step 6 Press 9 to change to free region.
Step 7 Power off using the Samsung remote, then Power On using the Samsung remote
Step 8 Repeat steps 1 to 4, your region code will now show a "0" on the top left corner.

Alternatively, you can use Leawo Blu-ray Copy to remove region code on your discs, so that you can play them to any Blu-ray players.

If you can't change the region code on your Samsung player, you might want to consider creating a region free copy of your Blu-ray/DVD discs so that you can play the disc on your Samsung player. There's a program called Leawo Blu-ray Copy you can use to create region free copies of your Blu-ray/DVD discs. A region free disc can be play on any DVD players. Here's how to use the program: How to Make 1 1 Disc to Disc Blu ray Backup with 1 Click Blu ray Copy...

Open tray and remove any disks in tray, then Close the tray. 1. Switch Off Player and Unplug from mains wait 30 seconds (this clears RAM) 2. Reconnect to mains 3. Turn on player with remote. 4. Press ENTER on remote. 5. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9. Using keys on remote.if your player is already set to region 2 6. Press ENTER on remote. (The tray will open and player will power off and close tray.) 7. Switch on power from remote. 8. Player is now Region Free. Allows both region 1 & 2 DVD's to play.

Samsung HT-F5500W fan ng message even when the fan is spinning.

I removed all the screws out the back and took the outer shell off. Be careful removing the outer shell because of the wire connecting the touch pad to the system. Once off, unplug the fan unit and completely remove it. I let the system stay in this condition for around an hour. I returned to it and blew off all the dust on the fan (extremely small amount of dust for two years of use). I plugged the fan back into the system and reinstalled it to it's original position. Replace the outer shell back to the system and reinstall the screws (be careful not to put too much torque on the screws). I have had no more issues with my fan since and it's been two weeks. I hope this helped.

Samsung HT-E3500 region-free

I have a new HT-E3500, and after 20 minutes I got the following to work.

The trick seemed to be not holding the repeat key too long.

I have a Region B/4, running 080604.01_050708-1_XSA code.

I used the R4 code from below.

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.
2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner
3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 76884

Now it to me about 20 tries to get this to work, It needed to be done without delay.
So if you don't get it to work straight away don't loose heart.

4) When it works a 4 will appear in the top left corner

5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.

8) Power the unit off

9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.

From other threads I got the follow list of region codes.

R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462

I just moved to Rome and bought a great new Samsung home theatre system. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the region code situation and of course, none of my US DVD's and most of my Blue Rays do not...

It's not possible to make a Blu-Ray region free, of any brand and model, at this moment. And unfortunately your Samsung is a model specifically designed for Europe and the region code is hard coded in it and cannot be changed.
But you can do something else to view your disks : just buy a cheap pc with a BR-writer unit and VLC media player and you will not have a problem with region codes ever again.
