NDR 1062 Dometic Refrigerator

Fridge stopped working. Light comes on. Looks like it's switching between gas and 110, but no cooling at all. Gas burner comes on like normal. Replaced the computer board a few years ago. Any way to bypass the computer board and see if the fridge still cools?

Not unless you unplug the thermistor from the circuit board and let it run for 24 hours. If it does not cool after that then your cooling unit is bad.

SOURCE: My Dometic NDR1062 only runs on gas, its set for auto and has 110

There is a control board and a step down transformer that may be at fault.
These should be located in the lower rear of the unit.

NDR 1292 - Was freezing/cooling on electric, but stopped freezingcooling, tried gas but doesn't freeze or cool

Since it does not work on either AC or gas - do you have DC to the unit? I have spent many hours troubleshooting a Dometic that turned out to be a corroded DC connection.

Prroblem with rv gas refrigerator Dometic ndr1062

I assume you've checked baffle distance above flame? Anything changed above fridge, as in clearance, ventilation above etc. Maybe even removed a piece of panel, that was used above fridge for vent deflection etc?

Does my old propane fridge have a element ?

Propane refrigerators have a gas burner to create the heat for refrigerant circulation. Some propane refrigerators that were used mostly in RV's also had an electric heat element that ran off a power cord or 12 volt battery.

To determine this look at the back of the refrigerator, you will see a gas line that ends in a burner on the lower left side (looking from the back). Just above that about 4 inches will be wires coming out of the box if an electric heat element is used.
