De dietrich range cooker very noisy when oven on?

I have a De Dietrich range cooker, stainless steel, 5 ring hob, large and smaller oven side by side. We have had it for about 8 years and it makes a lot of noise (humming/vibrating constant noise) when the large oven is switched on (not sure about the small oven as I hardly use this?). Maybe something is vibrating, or loose? Any suggestions for a quick fix, thanks?

Have you checked the exhaust fans within the oven? These can make a lot of noise if something has come lose. They should be located at the top of your oven or on the back. I would check that.
Good luck

SOURCE: De Dietrich Oven - Clock tripping back to 00:00 means I cant turn on my oven!

its a fix more than a solution but you can bypass the clock thus allowing the oven to operate again
unplug at the mains and remove the oven from the housing remove the two fastening screws from the metal lid on the top of the oven ,and remove the lid
you will see the timer back panel with 3 wires coming to it, 2 are black (switching line) and 1 is red (Live feed to timer )
If you pull the connectors from the 2 black wires from the timer board and connect the ends together using a connector block, the timer switch becomes inactive and allows the oven functions to operate again.
you will have no timer functions but its a cheap fix and who uses the timer any way
good luck Andy B
ps if anyone has a set of operating manuals for ths oven i would be glad of a copy

SOURCE: De Dietrich oven not working!

I suspect that it is the oven lock that needs replacing. I bought a De Deitrich oven (pyroclean) in Sept 2007. The oven failed to heat in Aug 2009. The oven lock needed replacing which meant the unit had to be removed from the wall. It was replaced under guarantee but failed again in June 2010 and was replaced at a cost of €140 by enginneer. I am very dissappoined in the oven and expected to have no problems with it considering the DeDeitrich name. I would not recommend it to a friend. By the way the clock is easy to use if you follow the instructions exactly. Oven used by two careful owners only.

HOW DO YOU REMOVE MAIN OVEN ELEMENT FROM DE DIETRICH DOD438 OVEN

Unlike a lot of ovens, you can't unscrew the fan oven element from (at least some) we Dietrich ovens. Turn off electricity first!. Now open the oven and unscrew the cover from the back (4 screws). You can see the circular element. The 3 fixings can be seen but have to be unscrewed from the back. To do this, take out the oven from the cabinet (typically you undo a couple of screws near the top to do this) and pull it free. Then remove the rear metal casing. This requires a special screwdriver with a T10 head. You expose back of fan motor. The element is removed by disconnecting the two spare connectors, and unscrewing three nuts that are buried in insulation using a socket set. After removing nuts pull out element from the inside of the oven. Now you can replace the element by reversing the steps.

How to get the heating element out of the large oven in a De Dietrich DOD348*

If you mean the element at the back (not the bottom one), inside the oven undo a screw at the back to reveal the element, then undo one more screw attaching the element. THEN, totally disassemble the oven, removing all the cladding, taking off the top oven and controls, detaching lots of wires to be able to do this, in order to finally gain access to the 2 little nuts securing the element behind the oven. Then if you're not sufficiently dismayed by De Dietrich's design skills, email their customer service to be given the wrong part recommendation at twice the price of an independent supplier. Finally, buy part from independent supplier, spend several hours dismantling and rebuilding oven. Then it will work. But maybe don't ever buy De Dietrich (Brandt) again!

My oven keeps turning itself off

the oven may be trying to protect itself because of a faulty device that says "I'm too hot". As electric clothes dryers have a thermal high temp limit switch to protect them, look for this device (may be 1 inch round with 2 wires connected) and replace it
