To connect your phone via USB to computer and access your phone's memory card:
On your phone:

Press the Center Select Key
-
Scroll to and Select Settings
-
Scroll to and Select Connection
-
Scroll to and Select USB Settings
-
Scroll to and Select Default Connection
-
Scroll to and Select Memory Card
This
directs the USB connection to your memory card. Attach the Motorola
Original USB cable to the accessory port on your phone and to an
available USB port on your computer.
How do I use my own ring tones on my phone?
To put ring tones on your phone using Motorola Phone Tools 4.36c and higher:

Start Motorola Phone Tools.

Choose your phone's profile or create a new profile.

Click OK to wait for a picture of your phone to appear or for your phone to be setup for the first time.

Once the image of your phone appears in the lower right of your computer screen select Multimedia Studio.

On the screen that pops up select Melody Studio.

Select a tab at the top of the screen to find a source for a ring tone. (Samples, My Melodies, My PC, My CD, My Phone).

Select an audio phone you wish to transfer or edit.

Edit the file to your taste or simply choose Transfer to phone.

The file will be put in your ringtone folder.
To transfer music to your phone via Bluetooth(The computer must have a Bluetooth Profile that supports
OBEX File Transfer )
:Note:
The steps you may need to use to transfer music via Bluetooth may
differ from the steps used below. A PC and a Motorola PC850 Bluetooth
Adapter were used in the steps seen below.

On your computer

Go to My Bluetooth Places

On your phone
-
Push Menu
-
Scroll to and Select Bluetooth
-
Scroll to and Select Setup
-
Turn Bluetooth Power On
-
Push Back (right softkey)
-
Scroll to and Select Find Me
-
Press Back several times to return to the home screen
-
Double click Find Bluetooth Devices
-
Let your computer search and find your device
-
Double Click on Motorola Phone (Phone's default name is "Motorola Phone" unless you have renamed it in Bluetooth>Setup>Name

Double Click on OBEX File Transfer on Motorola Phone
-
Computer will be prompted to enter a Passkey
-
Enter 0000 on your computer and press OK
-
Phone will ask if you want to Bond with your computer. Select Yes or No
-
Phone will then prompt you to enter the 0000 Passkey then press OK
-
Phone will then prompt to Grant or Deny OBEX File Transfer
-
Double click on audio Folder
-
Phone will then prompt to Grant or Deny OBEX File Transfer
-
Computer will now display a conversations and voicerecords folder. Copy and paste or Drag and Drop your m4a (AAC) or MP3 ring tones to the audio folder and NOT into the conversations or voicerecords Folders.

Phone will then prompt to Grant or Deny OBEX File Transfer to complete the transfer
Note:
By putting ring tones on your phone using Bluetooth or Motorola phone
tools, you may not be able to remove the ringtone from your phone.
Motorola is aware of this and in the future removing the user added
ringtones
