Was the computer connected to the Internet with a LAN cable when you installed Windows 7. During the Windows 7 installation Windows will automatically find and download the drivers. The HP/Compaq WEB site may have a WEBcam driver for your model laptop. If all else fails then try installing Windows 7 again and make sure the laptop is connected to the Internet before you start the installation.
You can download the device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure
you select your model laptop and the Windowsdrivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download thedrivers: - www.compaq.com/country/cpq_support.html
Ok, there are NONE, for Win 7. You may be able to get it to work like this, go to device manager, locate the Unknown Web cam.. and search for the driver online...it may find it otherwise...
1. which windows are you using 2. which software are u using for voice 3. which services pack are you using 4. which drivers are you using:
the answer lies in above questions
if 1. a) vista SP1 no problem go to service center or check for latest drivers b) xp load sp3 and go to control panel and hardware testing in sound if not: then load latest drivers else : go to service center 2. yahoo: got problem in server/ use skype for once to test 3. sp-3 4. latest drivers are sp35940 and there is a different procedure for loading them
At first let me tell you should have Operating System Vista for the inbuilt mic to work to get the full performance as it has the drivers.
Got to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainmnet>Sound Recorder.
You can check the mic is working or not.
