Hp pavilion dv9000 bleeps on start up

1. The first thing that I would try would be to reseat the memory. You can find instructions on how to do so here.
2. 1 long, 2 short beeps means Video card failure. Your laptop will require a new motherboard.
3. Unplug and take out the battery of your laptop. Push the start button for 40 seconds, then plug the unit back in, do not put the battery back in yet, start it up and you should have power. You can now put the battery back in.

The HP laptops offer happen to these problem after use for more than one year such as can't start up,even can't enter into the BIOS,this is often the power matter , or a big problem for the Mainboard or graphics card Problem .Wish your HP Pavilion dv9000 Laptop problem is only a power adapter problem,that will be a little trouble !

dv2000/dv6000/dv9000 recall I have an out of warranty dv9000 and haven't had wireless for months. I just discovered HP issued a recall for the wireless and other problems with several different Pavilion and Presario models. For the wireless problem with the dv9000 they are replacing the motherboard on all notebooks in or out of warranty. I was wondering if anyone has had the repair done under the recall and how it turned out? I'm also wondering if HP is still cosmetically trashing notebooks when they are sent in for repair?

Check the memory! Try rplacing with like memory first!

If you tried it witht he adapter then sounds like the motherboard is dead.
