Not really sure what your doing here. I assume that your wanting to upgrade memory or upgrade a HDD or something of that matter. Since this is a laptop I did read up on them and why not just upgrade the memory and bigger hard drive or items that you are able to upgrade even the operating software Win 7 perhaps not sure if you have this. Obviously your having some slow matters or things are going on that do not function correctly.
There are solutions other than a overhaul or thinking you have to replace the whole computer or upgrade a system board entirely. See if you can upgrade the memory and the hard drive and maybe load Win 7 to improve performance. I would do that first and foremost rather than a complete upgrade it seems as per your question I may have misinterpreted your question. Never the less something bothers you about this laptop that your wondering about doing this.
That is the way I would go with this laptop just the basic upgrades memory and Hard disk space lager drive perhaps clean it up and be done with it. Just a suggestion. John
