Blender stops working

This is my replacement blender and once again it has stopped working.  I push any button and the light comes on but there is no power.  I turned it off for hours and tried again, still not working.  I've checked the power.  I've made sure the top is on correctly and blade spins.

  • Lisa04 Jun 02, 2008

You know. I only got to use it once and it went dead on me. Except for a blinking light on it. I have checked circuitbreaker and let it sit for a few days and it is still not working. Please help me.

Hope Black and Decker has a quick solution once business hours resume. Ridiculous. 3-4 times I used it and now it has stopped with a solid blue light. Anyone ever get any other tips on how to resolve this?

This was a wedding gift. I may have used it twice? Same problem...machine stopped working and only a blue light comes on.

Yep, I have the same problem with my BL 1900 R (red) and I have a stainless steel one that looks the same so I want to switch housing but there is one screw that looks like a slotted head but the slot doesn't go clear through, like this _ _.

My B and D BL5000 blender doesn't stop when I press the STOP button. The motor goes when the cord is plugged in. Is this repairable? How? I have looked at the screws to get at it

the lock/unlock button on the Cuisinart Smart Stick CSB-75 blender may not stay locked when pressed in. The solution is to hold the blender in the palm of your dominant hand, press the low or high button and hold, then push and release the lock button on top with a finger on your other hand. The blender motor should start as soon as you push the lock button down and stay running until you release the high or low button.

However, fix.com offers OEM Black and Decker blender parts and accessories, including rubber gaskets, jar bases, measuring cup lid inserts, and blade assemblies. You may want to check if the parts you need are available and replaceable.

If you are unable to repair the blender yourself, you can contact Black and Decker customer service for assistance. They may be able to provide you with additional information on how to repair your blender or direct you to a local repair shop.

Two buttons are stuck in on my kitchen aid blender.

I have been searching for an answer to this same problem. My chop and mix buttons were stuck and I was getting no power or blinking lights. After finding no help on-line, I decided to take it apart and fix myself. It was easy and it worked!
1. Take the bottom of the mixer off by removing the rubber foot pads and remove the exposed 4 screws.
2. Remove the 3 sets of wires that are attached to the inside panel with clips. Very easy to remove, just squeeze at the base of the clips and pull up.
3. Remove the 2 screws holding that panel in place and gently lift off.
4. Remove the panel found under the top panel by also removing 2 screws. When you flip this panel over you will see what operates the switches.
In my blender the black plastic nubs that push against the buttons that were stuck and got twisted off kilter so they were not resetting properly. I just put a small screwdriver in there to try and straighten them as much as possible. All of these steps will be obvious as you disassemble the blender.
5. Push on the back of the buttons that were stuck to get them unstuck before reassembling everything back together.
I was surprised how easy a fix this was and how obvious what the problem was when I opened the blender up. No soldering or fancy tools needed, just 5-10 minutes and a phillips head screwdriver!
Good luck!

After blending cake batter the blender became hot and it's not working what shall I do

You have burnt up the machine. It will no longer function and would be unsafe to try further. Replace it.

WHEN i PUSH ANY BUTTON TO TURN IT ON, IT WORKS FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN IT STOPS, i HAVE TO UNPLUG IT AND SHAKE IT, IT WORKS FOR ANOTHER FEW SECONDS THEN IT STOPS AGAIN. wHAT CAN i DO TO FIX IT?

Sounds like the brushes are not making good contact or you have a defective switch. Run the blender witout the container or blades . Free run it for 5 minutes id you can and see if that helps.

Kitchenaid Blender Classic

Same thing happened to me. Opened it up and along the red wire to the motor is a bass fuse. Went to the hardware store and then I replaced it. Works fine.

Received the Breville Ikon 600 blender as a Christmas present in 2006 and have used it 3 times, with the third time being this past weekend. The product is now out of warranty and low and behold, it...

My IKON 600 Blender fuse had blown. It was located on the circuit board and can be found by removing the bottom of the blender. Fuse is Fast Blow 10A, metric 5mmx20mm. The fuse blew because the bearing in the bse of the jar froze. Bearing # 608-RS. The beraring froze because the seal in the base of the jar was leaking. Solution: Clean seak surfaces, replace bearing and fuse. Total cost of $6 with my labor.

5 speed ...steel

i had the same problem after only one month, took in back to walmart and they would do nothing. i love the big heavy glass jar on this model so i baught another on thinking i broke it some how and guess what, the second one stopped after one and a half months. called around and no one would do anything for me, company sucks, i took the bottom cover off the blender to expose the problem and there is a problem with the curcuit board and built in breaker. i ripped out all the speed buttons and curcuit board and just wired in a on/off switch to the motor. works great again. i still had a extra broken blender so i took a old chain saw i had and turned that one into a gas powered blender. problem solved, any questions please feel free to ask, [email protected]
