ER-5200 error code E47 after trying master reset

I have two SAM4s, ER-5200 cash registers. I have been having problems with them both, so decided to do a full master reset. Key to 's' position, turn off, holding 'check' turn back on, then the four corners in order. I am now getting error code E47. I thought it may have just been one, but the other has done exactly the same. I cannot find a solution to this listed anywhere. Please help, Christmas is fast approaching, and I need them both....

It needs reprogramming. Likely to be a job for your local dealer using a laptop connected to it. Or you can search the manual, or Reset it, (Usually a secret red button hidden under the Total key).

How to master reset a sam 4s er model#5200
Its hold down third key up on right in S Mode then turn off and on, then press the four corner keys. I dont recommend it though because then you will need to reprogram everything from scratch including memory allocation and keyboard layouts, all products, etc. You will need a programming manual anyway to do this and the whole memory reset procedure is in there..

Did you sort out this problem? Usually it is caused by a cashier logon problem. Especially if you see 'CLOSED' on the display.
