I had the same blinking light. My immediate attempt was to open and close the door. This did not help. I checked the pop up sprayer and it was not blocked. I checked and the soap door was open and would not latch. I closed the main door and pressed start/reset and the normal light stopped blinking. After that, I checked the soap door and saw that it bound a little, but still didn't latch. Right now I'm running a "rinse and hold" to see if it clears the fault, which I think is a problem with the soap door and the soap pod I had used. Anyway, use this as a starting point. The normal light blinking means that the sequencer board failed a test, which could be anything from a loose connector or ground wire to a failed component. Good luck!

The start light is flashing on my GE dishwasher?

What's the model number? How old is this dishwasher? The new GE dishwashers (less than 3 years old) have a weakness in the door switch/latch assembly, and that would cause the light to flash - it wants you to press Start and close the door, but it's not recognizing that the door is closed.

Dishwasher won't run. Normal light and cancel light flashing cont

Hi,

The door latch pulls the door tightly closed to prevent water leakage around the door. It is also designed to prevent operation while the door is open. The door latch works in concert with the door switch to ensure that the door is tightly closed and latched. The door switch is a separate part from the door latch and is found inside the cabinet. The switch is off when the door is open. Depressing the switch closes the circuit and enables dishwasher operation. Closing the door does not depress the switch all the way. Only when the door is closed and latched, does the door fully depress the switch.

If the door latch is not properly aligned it may not pull the door tightly closed and the door switch will not be fully depressed. Unless the switch is fully depressed the dishwasher will not operate. It is a simple matter to determine whether the door latch is the problem. Simply open the door, close the latch and select a cycle and depress the switch. Note that if the test is successful, with the door open, the dishwasher will operate and water may spray out. Make sure to first remove all tools from inside the dishwasher. Do not reach inside the dishwasher during the test. Now, inspect the cabinet where the door makes contact with it and locate the door switch. It may have a protruding button or spike or more likely it is a hole with a piece of metal or plastic inside it. You must fully depress that switch. If the switch is recessed, then use a non-conductive object, such as a wooden pencil, to depress the switch.

Thank you !!

Hi
Door latch.
Open and close the door to make sure the door latch is securely fastened.
Check the dishwasher wiring for a possible loose connection where it connects to the house wiring.
Fuses or circuit breakers.
Check your house fuses or circuit breakers to make sure you have power to the dishwasher.

MY GE Triton GSD5200 just stopped mid cycle...it is beeping and the normal cycle light is blinking. What is wrong?

I had the exact same problem. It was near the end of the cycle and it just stopped and then started beeping. I opened the door, and something seemed to pop. Looking at the mechanism, I'm thinking that the Jet Dry dispenser had gotten stuck somehow, and fiddling with the door loosened it. If it gets stuck again, I'll probably just remove it since I never use Jet Dry.

Kenmore dishwasher 665 15752 wont cycle right

Sound like door/latch is not providing a secure door close anymore. Push on the door when the lights flash and see if this stops the blinking and continues with wash cycle. If it does, there is either somehing interfering withe the door closing fully, or the door latch on the door or dishwasher side is worn/defective.
