I bought a floor model Sony (KDL_46Z4100) lcd TV, and when I turn the tv on, lower right hand corner of screen it says, Store mode: ON. Then my settings get erased as I watch TV and the Demo starts happening, Tv settings change every 5 min, like color adj, saving favorite channels, etc.
For Bravia's.. To turn off the demo mode, press and hold the MENU button on the TV for more than 10 seconds. The message Demo mode: Off will appear on the screen.

if the line is in the same place all the time im afraid to say that is a pixel problem on your display contact sony they may offer you a replacement display or altleast a way of changing the set.

this is probly the lcd control module unfortunatley it comes with a new lcd panel

You may have a case of a bad signal board. The clue was that your power button on the tv and remote are the only ones functioning. If the tv is still under warraty, call the service number to get help!

Just had Best Buy's Geek Squad in to rectify this problem.They replaced the whole panel and the yellowing still appeared. Thankfully under extended warranty. Going into Best Buy today to replace the TV.

Try the tv unplug,replug it back an hour later.The tv now,resetting back to factory setting.Go to tv Menu.Goto AUDIO setting,go down to reset,the Tuner board is now resetting.The tv should have sound now.Not than,the Tuner board have problems.Not the speakers,yes call the repairman.It'll cost half the price of a new tv.
