Ink level will not reset when cartridge is replaced

I replaced color cartridge in Kodak 5100 AIO and the ink level did not reset. Print command is refused and the red light on the printer indicating check color ink continually blinks. I replaced several times to make sure it is installed correctly.

Koadak easy share all in one, won't print in bacl

Check the version of AiO software you are using. We had to re-install the Aio Kodak software yesterday because the print que did not register when I changed the ink cartridges. The AiO would scan, but the computer side still thought it was out of ink.

Perhaps the latest software will fix your problem too.

Kodak 5100 Needs Both Cartridges To Print?

Unfortunately, you cannot used the printer if one of the ink cartridge is empty., compare to the other printers you can print a black text or gray scale if the color is empty or one of the cartridge is empty.

All kodak printers work the same both cartridges should have ink on ink before you can use It.

Printer Problem on Multiple Printers: As if low ink on both

The printhead has dried out and you need to contact kodak to get a replacement, they may do this under warranty. The same thing has happened twice now with my AIO 5500, I guess the problem is if you don't print very often, the ink dries out in the printhead itself, not the cartridges.

Prints only pictures and not text

Run the printer maintenance program and clean the printhead. If that doesn't fix the problem, contact Kodak support. If needed, they will exchange the printhead for a new one.

Our Kodak 5100 printer will not stop a red light flashing on ink

How often do you use the printer? I have the same problems with a Kodak AIO 5500. Go to the "Help Center" section of the Kodak.com website. This will lead you through troubleshooting and if the printhead is bad they should send you a new one under warranty. This is what I did.

Kodak 5100 AIO won't print after cartridge change

the red blinking light indicates that your printer wont recognize your ink carthridge. you can try to reseat the carthridge and the printhead. to remove the printhead just press on the release tab which is located on the upper left corner of the printhead wall. If this will not correct the issue, you need to call their technical support hotline. maybe the carthridge is faulty or there is a problem on the printhead. their hotline no is 1 800 421 6699

New ink cartridge for Kodak Easy Share 5300 will not work

The version of firmware you originally had on the printer when you changed the ink cartridge was bad. There is a known issue that when you put in a new ink cartridge when the printer is in the error state "COLOR INK EMPTY. REPLACE COLOR INK CARTRIDGE" the unit writes that value to the new ink cartridge so you will continue to have that error.

So to fix your problem Open the access door and Remove the ink cartridges. Then download and install the new Firmware. Heres the link.

Kodak AiO 5300 Firmware

Then sadly you have to go get another new ink tank and install it.

If you can get through to kodak you should request reimbursement of some sort like a free set of ink tanks.

I hope this helps
