Repair both ...start fresh from start.....do a hard restart on the TomTom...this is located on the last menu of your tomtom...Factory reset...it will erase recent destinations and favorites....but it usually clears the tomtom....Now try to repair both the phone and the tomtom

SOURCE: TomTom One bluetooth phone pairing doesn't work

i'm not sure if this helps but i have a samsung sgh-a516 and at first all i could pair with my phone was wireless (the one feature i will never use). Randomly i get a phone call on my cell with my tomtom on and somehow spontaniously it just decides it wants to connect via handsfree? I was playing around in the tomtom options today and in preferences i selected send file (at the very end of choices in the menu) and tried sending a song from my tom tom to my phone it took 2 trys but finaly it found my phone and sent the file , i refreshed the bluetooth service list on my phone and sure enough object push was added i then deleted my phone from tomtom and repaired it. needless to say i can now trasnsfer my contacts and talk handsfree when in the beginning my 920 would only recognize a wireless service. All i can say is try and play around with settings on both devices and you might be in luck and trick them to work. I hope this helps

SOURCE: Device not recognized by computer

Hi RPSS,

Make sure the Tomtom unit is properly seated in the cradle and that there are no velcro strips etc preventing it from pushing down fully into the socket (if improperly seated the unit can still charge, and sometimes ask for a connection, but won't be able to connect properly to the computer).

Are you INDOORS? GPS do not work indoors. You need to be OUTSIDE.

Also, install TomTom Home in your computer and plug your tomtom to your computer via a USB cable. Update your TomTom and try again

I have paired my blackberry with my tomtom go 930 the phones says paired but the tom tom can't seem to find the phone?

I detest cell phones, but here's how I got my wife's BB8100 and BB8800 to connect to my GO930:
1) Press the button with 7 dots in a circular pattern (Menu?);
2) Click "Options";
3) Click "Bluetooth";
4) Click "TomTom GO 930" (yours may differ);
5) Click "Full Menu";
6) Click "Options";
7) Change "Discoverable" to "Yes";
8) Press the button with the curved arrow (Return?);
9) Click "Save";
10) Click the curved-arrow button until the menus are gone.
The TomTom should now be able to connect to the BB.

Had to do something similar on the iPhone 4 before it could connect (haven't found a "Trust" option yet).

Pairing tomtom 630. it connects and works 1 time then tomtom complains about phone not responding. i did connect and after this i authorized it should work. tried with different nokia 5800 same problem....

Some mobiles require you to confirm each connection by responding to a message on the phone screen. My older Samsung phone did the same thing if I didn't hit the "accept" on the phone at the right time. My newer phone does it automatically, but it has a setting to disable the automatic connection. You might want to look at your bluetooth options on the phone for the tomtom connection and see if there is an automatic connection option.

If this helps, please rate, if not, please clarify so I can do some more research.

Thanks!

What is the bluetooth passkey code?

When you are pairing your TOMTOM with a BlueTooth-enabled cellular phone, your TomTom will ask you to enter "0000" when the phone asks for a pin. In order not to have to enter the pass code every time you want to connect to the phone, declare the TomTom as a trusted device.
When you are pairing the two make sure that the phone is "visible for xxxx minutes" or "always visible".

Tomtom 930 does not find Iphone 3g bluetooth for connection.

The following has worked for me FLAWLESSLY :

1) Remove any old "pairing information" that you may have both on the iPhone and on the TomTom - both should be "clean" not knowing about each other..

2) Put iPhone into airplane mode.

3) Go to settings, and turn on Bluetooth

4) Do the regular "search for bluetooth device" and pair the two
devices

5) Turn off airplane mode

After I did this, I have never had a problem with iPhone 3GS / Tomtom - they find each other now every time, and all is happy..

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION PROBLEMS

Well, according to THIS, the Blackberry 8100 can only be used for hands free calling with a Go920...

That said, it shlould be possible to establish a connection between the two...

Let the Go find the phone, not other way around...
It can take a LONG time searching for the phone, and it may not be able to establish a connection automatically..

If so, try to set it up manually, it will ask for that if it fails...
