I am guessing the screw size is M6/16mm , based on Sony official page for your TV:
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/tv-80-32-lcd/kdl-32v4000/technical-specifications#tab

Lowes or Home Depot or Ace Hardware (I prefer the latter for more knowledgeable employees). If no hardware stores nearby, try Sears or Best Buy (you may need to ask more than one person, don't give up too easily). If visiting a hardware store, you may have to look in the 'roofing' screw bins or nearby to find the right size.

You might also look for TV mounting kits that have that size screw, but you'd probably pay much more than finding the screws alone at a hardware store.

Thanks for looking and responding - but that is for the VESA wall mount screws - I'm looking for the table stand that came with the TV - those screws are much longer than the M6/16mm ones for the wall mount

Sony bravia pedestal stand is unstable

http://www.docs.sony.com/release/SUWL31_EN_ES_FR.pdf This link will show what it looks like when removing base to wall mount.They always recomend a mounting strap that connects to the rear of the TV and then screws into the table it will be sitting on.Not sure what they expect you to do if you have a glass top table. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/SUWL31_EN_ES_FR.pdf

I assume that its Sony KDL-40S2000 model and it needs following size screws to attache its table stand..
