Hi, my name is Patty. I have an American Standard pressure assisted toilet in my upstairs bathroom. It was installed in December of 2000. Up until now, it was running great. But now it does not have the power or force that it used to have when you flush. I called the plumber on Friday, 5/08, but they will not be out until this Tuesday, May 12. Luckily for me, I have a second regular toilet to use in my basement.
Anyway, what would be causing this to happen? I hope that the plumber will be able to fix it and not tell me that I need a brand new toilet. My model number is : M-101526-F3
Serial number is: 103000-F3A-1115
Series No: 503
Purchased at Home Depot
Also, are these type of toilets more expensive to repair? I was just curious how much would it cost with labor and parts, etc, estimated ballpark figure of the total cost.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much!
Regards,
Patty

Found this on this same site...Please let us know is it works (I'd like to know since I'm considering a pressure-assisted toilet).

This type of flush system can be re presurised quickly by holding down the flush handle for about good 2 minutes, then release , wait for the tank to be refilled with water.
Now you can flush away your inner rotting mess down tube good-by...
