Start Switch is bad, When they go out it leave's a open circuit and all light will come on but no action.
After the circuit is closed then it tells the dryer to start cause the circuit activates both the timer and the motor.

Good Luck

Candy Go482 wash machine will not start its cycle.door security light flashing but no obstruction

It could be a bad door lock switch. I had taken my machine apart to clean the boot and accidentally dislodged one of the plugs (there were 3 on the mechanism) on the door lock mechanism. I got the same actions from my machine as you are. Since you probably haven't taken anything apart, a bad switching mechanism can cause the same problems.

I have filled dishwasher selected temperature and the start light is flashing but nothing happens I think the m/c type is 7197

The Start/Resume light is flashing

This flashing light indicates that your cycle or start-up was interrupted.
Possible causes: The door opened during the cycle, or the power was interrupted.
To resume operation: Make sure the door is closed, and press Start/Resume.

The Clean light is flashing

You should call for service if the Clean light is flashing and the machine is inoperable. It is normal if the Clean light stays on after the cycle is complete. The Clean light is an indication that the dishwasher has been run and that the dishes inside it are clean. Once the door is opened after the cycle is complete, the light will shut off.

The lights are rapidly flashing

Any key that gets stuck will rapidly flash. Press the key a few times in order to release it or press Cancel.

The Rinse Only light is rapidly flashing

If multiple keys are stuck, the Rinse Only light will flash. Press each key, one at a time, to release the stuck keys, or press cancel.

We have a Whirlpool WFS1071BW, and it has just stopped working for no reason. When you start the cycle (any cycle), it starts and then after 5 seconds or so, stops, the "Start" button light...

The problem is the door switch likely broken or not being activated. Make sure the door is closed firmly and nothing is caught in the door that might prevent the door from closing tightly. Replace the door lock/switch assembly if the door is closed firmly. You should hear the door lock/switch clicks when Start is pressed.

Bosch Dryer lint filer warning

The Bosch Dryer has a temperature probe in the heater exit and in the exhaust area visible when you open the door. If the temperature difference between the two gets to high, the lint filter is assumed to be plugged and the alarm goes off.

It seems that the temperature probe at the heater, can end up with a faulty connection to the control panel over time due to corroded contacts or lint build up. When this happens the control panel thinks the filter is clogged and it may also not turn on the heating elements properly. Remove the back cover over the heating element (12 screws) and then remove the one screw holding the red wiring connection to the dryer body. You can then wiggle out the wiring connection and clean / unplug and replug in the connector for the sensor. (plug with two small wires only). A little hard feeding the connector back through the hole so take your time and don't damage the wires). Should all work again. May want to inspect inside the heater at same time and make sure the overheating switch is not tripped. ( press in the red button).
