SOURCE: Capresso C1000 - Coffee is going into the coffee grounds bin rather then
I had this same problem water going into the grounds disposal chamber, plus all green and red lights flashing. Was told if I could clear the lights to clean the screen and run a tablet cleaning. I was able to clear the lights tried to run the cleaning but it failed again. I have had my machine for over 4 years so instead of sending it back I decided to take it apart. The problem I found is an O-Ring that runs inside of the compression pump chamber failed, if I can find an O-ring that is the same size I believe it will be as good as new.

I have a Capresso fo 7 years now, had few problems, but always solve them.
If youe machine does all the functions properly, but doesn't give you coffee, you should check if everytnhig goes into the grounds tray. If that's the case you may only have a broken "O ring" inside the pressing element. It makes the coffe, but throws it away instead of filling the cup. I had that problem, and it was the "O ring".
If the grounds dunped on the tray are dry, you're looosing the water in the back, probably on the relief valve.
Hope this helps!

I had a similar problem. I took off the side and rear cover, followed the hose that comes from the steam wand to the rear of hte unit. It enters a solenoid made by ACL Italy. I dismantled the solenoid unit by disconnecting the two hose ends, removing the relay, and unscrewing the plunger unit (vertical pipe). The plunger unit internals should move freely up and down like a piston in a cylinder , powered by a small spring. In my unit, this plunger was calcified and seized. I soaked it in boiling water and pressed on it gently several times and it unstuck. I put it all back together again and presto! Good luck

Is there anybody who can show me how to remove the top portion of the capresso 115 or the switch panels on the front to expose the switches inside. My function switch for the coffee or steam went loose inside and it does not switch anymore. I unscrewed the 2 screws next to the brew head and steam tube, but it seems there are more screws somehwere. I have this unit for less than 6 months and I am overseas so I need to do it on my own. Hopefully I can get someone to point me how.
I now have the same exact problem. Did you ever find out how to get at the switch to fix? Thanks!
