If you set everything to the proper resolution there's no reason the monitor wouldn't be able to play it. I would guess something is wrong with the program and when it loads particular information it crashes the program. Try uninstalling it and doing a general cleaning of your ram and harddrive space, if that doesnt work consult a forum troubleshooting issues for those specific programs/ games. Others might be having the same issue there.

SOURCE: No Video Signal

If you can't use the onboard video and it does POST or the PCI-E video card does show anything, most likely the motherboard is toasted. Apparenty gateway uses real poor quality power supplie and motherboards.

I have the same system, it powers on, but nothing. All I can assume is that the motherboard is bad.

SOURCE: No Video Signal

Try resetting the bios. On the motherboard there is a battery that looks like a watch battery. Remove the battery, then replace it again. (make sure the computer is unplugged from the wall socket when you do this)

Does this work?

SOURCE: Dimension 4600 won't reset to factory settings

These model dells came with a recovery cd rather than a partition. You will need to call dell and have them send you a recovery cd and then use that disc to restore your computer to factory defaults.

No signal to monitor

Change video resolution through video card settings not through windows settings. Windows settings can be changed by software to a video resolution not compatible with monitor. Common issue with TV used as monitor or low end flat screen don't have as many resolution options as pc or video card capable of displaying.accassing video card settings is specic to which brand you have but won't look like rt click screen settings video/ windows settings

I would recommend reinstalling TF2 again on your computer. That might fix some of the problems. If that doesn't work, try to look for your problem at https://support.steampowered.com/ and file a ticket detailing your problem.

StudioWorks 700s Monitor No Signal

Try to connect the monitor to a different desktop/laptop, to see if it works at all.

Try a different monitor on your computer, to see if the video-card in your computer is the problem.

Or, spend $50 to $100 to buy a used 15-inch or 17-inch LCD monitor.
