How to remove the heater core on 94 mercury cougar

Removing the Old Core
  • Disconnect the Mercury Cougar's negative battery cable. Remove the center console from the interior. Disarm the car's air bag system and remove the bag's diagnostic monitor and bracket.

  • Take the heater outlet floor duct out of the car. Remove the screw holding the air transfer duct and push it into the outlet duct. Unscrew the screws retaining the outlet duct to the heater core cover and release the retaining tabs on each side to remove the duct.

  • Raise and support the Mercury Cougar, using multiple jackstands. Drain the engine coolant by removing the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. Replace the drain plug after all the liquid flows into a clean container and disconnect the heater hoses from the core

  • Withdraw the black vacuum supply hose from the vacuum source (you can now lower the vehicle). Disconnect the same hose from the air conditioner's vacuum reservoir tank.

  • Detach the heater core cover that holds the core by releasing the retaining tabs and removing the clips. Remove the dash panel seal, vacuum hose and heater core bracket from the cover.

  • Remove the heater core from the cover and the case seal from the core

John deere 997 randomly stalls. After a few minutes it will restart and run for a few minutes then stall again.

Sounds like air is being introduced into the fuel between the fuel tank and the fuel pump.

My reddy heater RLP 100 would not stay lit after I released the ignitor switch so I changed the thermocouple and, the thermal unit switch. The heater will ignite but when I release the knob the flame goes...

A couple of things come to mind:

Restricted air flow. Check heater inlet and outlet. Remove any obstructions.

If the heater has been used in a dusty environment, it may simply need a thorough cleaning.

Inadequate propane supply. Make sure there's enough gas in the tank to facilitate combustion.

If the tank is full, turn of the tank valve and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose. Turn the tank valve on very, very slowly, until it's fully open and try relighting and operation of the heater.

If you have misplaced your Owners Manual, you can find it at www.deastech.com

Hope this helps to solve your problem.

Single cylinder/oil free 5.5hp 30gal will fill tank when started with tank empty. When tank pressure is bleed off motor attempts to start, humms and kicks breaker.

If the unloader is not working properly the motor cannot overcome the head pressure. Two things to check. Make sure tank check valve is not leaking. Easy test. With pressure in tank, unplug the compressor from outlet and remove discharge hose at tank and listen for leak or spray soapy water. If leaking replace valve or try to clean debris from valve seat. If not leaking then problem is most likely at pressure switch unloader valve. Follow 1/4 inch hose from checkvalve at tank to connection at pressure switch. When pressure switch reaches cutoff pressure the switch opens the contacts and moves small tang against valve stem to release air from discharge hose. Check for proper function and repair as needed. Good luck.

Tank pressure reaches setting but outlet pressure is not releasing air

if you have a air nozzle I would plug that in and see if you can get air out of that if no then you may have to adjust the hose/line pressure or you may have something inside that isn't allowing the air to come out of the tank in that case drain the tank and use either a small rod or peice of wire to poke through the outlet and clear it

Figidaire 25 pint dehumidifier

Check the point on the tank (Bucket) where the hose connects to. Make sure there is no obstruction at the outlet of the bucket to the hose connection. Next make sure the hose has no kinks or no loops that may trap air to the drain. If necessary for a long run to the place of drainage raise the dehumidifier to a higher level for better drainage.
