Pics foggy and white

All the sudden all my pics are almost completely white. If you look close you can see my pic, but there are white lines going horizontally through them and makes it look really foggy. What is wrong and can it easily and cheaply be fixed?

Have you tried resetting all settings to factory default? Sounds like extreme over exposure.

Are the lines from the camera or the printer?
I have a similar model and the only problems I ever had were printer related.

SOURCE: m753 camera when taking pics and reviewing them

Hi!
It's a loose connection between the CCD and motherboard - a very common problem with these cameras. Unless you have experience in camera repairs, you should give it to a local repair shop - don't let them say you it's a motherboard problem or something like that, it's 99% just a loose connection. I have repaired hundreds of these. I work in a Kodak service center.

Sounds like it doesn't recognise the card.

Probably the first thing to try is formatting the card. There is a function in the camera menus to do this. If it won't format or gives an error when you try, then there may be an issue with the connectors in the card slot or the card may be incompatible.

Maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Hi. Turn on the camera and go into the menu and find the reset function. Reset it. That may solve your problem. If it does not, you could go for a repair or a replacement. Some shops will give you a free estimate. Joe

I downloaded all my pics from a wedding i was recently at and all of a sudden it says card not initialized!! i dont know why

If the pics are safely downloaded to your computer, then insert the card into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"..follow the on-screen instructions. This will completely erase the card so be sure you have those pics on your computer.

Canon S2 IS - LCD screen is white after taking an outside picture

the image is all white or has lines through it.Definitely sounds like a repair issue, and has been a previous problem with the camera in the past. There is a defect in the sensor of the camera, and happens quite frequently in this model. I would try and contact Canon about it, and see if they'll repair it for free. If not, its probably going to cost more than the camera is worth to repair it.

White in all pics

The pictures are either over exposed or there is a large smudge on one of the internal lens elements. A bad image sensor is also possible.
