check your camera settings and flash settings. i it doesnt then go to nearby ressel and get the work done. I advice go to sony ericsson service centre .
have you checked that the diffuser is pushed fully home in its slot until you hear a click - this diffuser is for close-up work only and dissables the zoom flash
Make sure your flash has not been turned off, check your settings. You may try changing your flash settings, most cameras have a setting for fill flash (flashes every time). If it still is not working make sure your batteries are fresh. If you have tried these two things, I would say its broken. If its still under warranty take it back, if not just use it and forget the flash. Flash is useless past 12 feet in most point and shoot cameras.
you need to go to your cameras menu and set your flash function to m ( no to ttl) set it in full M and then it works hope it works that works for me i had the same problem
Go to the menu RESET ALL may work. Then go back to the menu and set the settings to the way you want them, test the camera and see if the flash works. Make sure that the flash settings are on and not turned off in the menu settings.
If the flash is on in the settings and it still does not work, then this camera needs repairs.
Make sure both camera and flash are set to TTL automatic mode. One time this happened to me and I had forgotten to lock the flash to the hotshoe connector.
I had the same problem with my flash not working on any setting, but I found a way to fix it: hit the menu button, make sure the "rec mode" choice is set to normal instead of burst. I think the burst mode takes multiple shots in a row, so the flash isn't compatible with that setting?
You can try to reset all of the internal settings. This has worked for me with a digital camera. It would be good here to know what kind of camera we are working with.
Make sure you do not have any of the settings in the camera set to turn off the flash...for instance setting it at mountains or most any outside setting may not allow the flash to work. Some cameras will allow you to override the setting internally. If the flash does not work at all, then repairs will be needed.
Make sure the flash is not set to the flash off setting. Check the batteries and make sure they are installed correctly. Recharge or replace the batteries if necessary. You can't use the flash in continuous shooting mode. Check to make sure your camera's flash setting is not set to use the optional external flash (see Appendix A).
