Hello, Is it possible to connect this MIDI interface tot an Android tablet. I would have a MIDI-file on the tablet that plays through the interface on a digital piano.

should work...but you might have to write your own driver for it. Seems to have drivers for Windows or Mac only.

Ctk 810in not able to read or play midi files

If you connect to PC using USB interface, then use a commercial midi player - e.g Melody Assistant or Harmony assistant to play MIDI files to it.

Or else download "SMF convertor" to convert midi files and download compatible file to keyboard.

I want to add orchestral backing to song

Build the orchestral as a MIDI file and then merge your song and send back to the Tyros to perform it. Building on an external machine you will find is easier than trying to do it all on the Tyros.

Can the Peavey 6505+ channels be switched using midi in some way?

The short answer is NO... One COULD build a special MIDI interface to replace the footswitch inputs that was controlled by MIDI signals... would NOT be that hard, but would be special. One company makes a MIDI interface that is small. Use this and connect some relays to drive the foot switch inouts and it can be done.

I cannot get my casio ctk 651 to act as a midi keyboard with my maudio fast track pro and live 8 software on my pc Windows 7 CPU 3 GHz and 4 GB Ram.

Make sure you have set the powerchord/MIDI to the MIDI mode.

Your Yamaha DGX 203 Portable Keyboard - USB-MIDI Driver Version 1.2.2 ie. for OS Win9x/ME.

Yahama site does not have the Win7(x64) Drivers ie. USB-MIDI for your Keyboard Model DGX-203

But you can try the USB-MIDI Driver Version 3.1.0 for Windows(R) 7/Vista/XP 64bit for Model DGX-520 @ http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalkeyboards/dgx_series/dgx-520/?mode=model

I can't assured you that it will works on your system. Since your Keyboard is no longer in production, I doubt Yahama will provide you with the official USB-MIDI drivers for your Keyboard even you requested for it.

I guess this is an option you can try and hope it works & good luck.

Casio CTK 810 with Windows 7

Hello,

You need a midi to usb interface, otherwise it is quite simple. I personally have an M-Audio interface that plugs into my midi out and plugs into your usb port on your computer. Once done, you can create a profile in Reason for your CTK. Windows 7 will notice the M-Audio device and then you will be able to use midi. You may have to install a specific driver for the particular M-AUdio device (or another midi to usb interface) but that is simple. You do not have to worry about a driver for the keyboard.

In my experience, M-Audio makes about the best midi/usb interface, and they come in all popular configurations. I use a very small 1-to-1 interface, though there are multi port interfaces one can buy. I purchased mine on eBay, though you can find them at Guitar Center if you have one in your City, or alternately Musiciansfriend.com web site. Many online stores sell them though. You amy want to use Amazon or a price comparison web site to find your best deal.

When you are using midi the sounds from your keyboard aren't sent anywhere. What happens is control messages are sent over the midi cable from midi out to midi in on the other device which must have midi sounds on it (in your case the sound card) to make any sounds. The messages can be things like note on/of or pitch bend etc. If you want to send messages to produce a result on your laptop and still here something you can loop the messages by running from midi out on the device end ( your laptop) back to midi in on your keyboard. How can i connect my ctk-720 to my mac & the garage band application.

Just did it today. Hooked up CTK-720 to Imac with Snow Leopard (10.2.6) using GarageBand.
Steps: 1) Go to : http://code.google.com/p/casiousbmididriver/ 2) Download the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.plugin (see the two choices on the right side of screen) 3) Place the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.Plugin file into the MIDI Driver subfolder: Macintosh HD => Library => Audio => MIDI Drivers 4) Restart 5) Plug in USB cable, open GarageBand, turn on Casio 6) In GraarageBand Open New Project, Start by using Piano, Select Keyboard (command K) in the Window menu 7) You should see the keyboard being played on the screen.

Need help connecting Korg C-303 (Concert Piano) and Korg Symphony Model O3 (Orchestra Module). Have no documentation for the Symphony module.

Assuming the C-303 has a MIDI out, connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI output of the C-303 to the MIDI input of the symphony module.

Connect two audio cables (mono 1/4 inch) from the symphony module to a suitable audio amplification system OR possibly into auxilary audio input jacks of the C-303, if they exist.

I have a Symphony module but not the piano you have and I have mine connected to a Yamaha organ.

The only Voyetra Midi Orchestra Plus software I can know was written for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. Thus there are several reasons for it to be incompatible with Windows 8. First, it was a 16-bit software; the most common Windows 8 installs use a 64-bit OS. This means that the OS has undergone a number of major changes. The installers are completely different (format/way of talking to the OS). The DLLs that communicate between the software and the OS have also changed. The drivers for MIDI devices will be totally different in the modern OS.

The documentation for Voyetra Midi Orchestra is available here: http://www.turtlebeach.com/support/files/241/ . It is a discontinued product and no one at the company that owns it will be writing a new version of the code for Windows 8. I'm not sure this software will work in Windows 7 32-bit. You might be able to use the software in a compatibility mode from a virtual version of XP. For Windows 7 Pro, Virtual PC and the XP mode package are available as free downloads and can be used if your hardware allows. Windows 8 Pro has Hyper-V but requires a licensed version of any Windows OS that you want to use. For non-pro versions of Windows software, you would need to buy a Pro upgrade. The alternative is to obtain another Virtual machine software (VMWare, for example) and a licensed copy of XP or an older version of Windows. (OEM Windows 7 Pro licenses are still available from many computer hardware vendors.)
