if you need a remote for the rtd315w you can use the RCA D771. Put the code in manually in the AUX 1. Use the codes from the audio system section of the manual under RCA and RCA/DIxxxx. I don't remember which code, but it gave me on/off, volume control, and DVD menu navigation (on the guide and goback buttons).
As far as I know you need to set your HCI TV IR band to 3 for Magnavox remotes and 4 for apex remotes... i dont think others are compatible. To do so you might need the actual HCI remote. sorry
