Tissot T Race Auto Chrono watch stops after 1 / 2 days of not wearing?

I bought this Tissot T Race Automatic Chronograph watch just a month back, and I dont wear it everyday - but I am surprised that even if I dont wear it 1 / 2 days it runs out of juice and stops working. I hate resetting each time I have to wear it - is this normal? I've had many other Auto Chrono watches other from smaller brands like seiko and casio they go on forever without wearing. I have warranty, if this is not normal, then I could act asap.

Got the same model (the golden one) encountered the same issue, if you don't have the watch box and you wont use the watch, mount it on an oscillating electric fan that you use everyday (so that it will keep on moving whenever you use the fan), that will do the trick ;)

As the name suggests, it is AUTOMATIC watch. That means the watch is wound by the movement of your wrist and the energy of oscillating weight is transferred in to mainspring through gears. Usual power reserve for modern mainsprings is about 42 hours or less, so , do not expect watch will run longer than that if you do not wear it or wind it up.
If your Seiko or Citizen watches were running longer, that means these watches weren't AUTOMATIC. These are Kinetic, Solar or battery powered.

SOURCE: Bought a 1970s tissot automatic

A self winding watch will run for 2-3 days if it is not worn (they thrive on being used) and it sounds as if you have not been using it; is this the case?

It could be that the winder does not operate on the spring (some watches don't), so to wind it up you need to activate the self winding mechanism.

You can do this by gently swinging the watch from side to side for a few minutes. This will simulate the normal operation when it is being worn.

If you continue to have trouble with it stopping, it could be that it needs cleaning. I had a similar problem with a watch I had some years ago.

SOURCE: the tissot visodate watch is automatic not battery driven.

I would not wind the watch manually. I also have a Tissot. If you cannot wear it often enough to keep it going, you can purchase a watch box that is made for self-winding watches which will turn the watch periodically in order to keep it wound.

Just got the battery replaced on my Tissot Supersport Chrono and now the chronograph buttons do not work. Any suggestions before I take it to a authorized repair shop?

Take it back to the shop that changed the battery. They have slightly misaligned the movement to the case.

With a watch as good as a Tissot it is better to use a Tissot authorised dealer. My Seiko goes from Canada to London, UK for service.

Need instructions on National Geographic Men's watch #NG010GYSK

go to Buliva web site and look for the chorograph 561/598
FEATURES
1. Hours, minutes, seconds and date display.
2. 60 minute Chronograph (CHRONO) with minutes and
seconds display.
3. 24 hour hand, permanently synchronized with the normal
12 hour hand.
A. SETTING THE TIME
1. Pull the crown out to position “3” (See diagram). If the crown has
a “screw-down” lock, then unscrew the crown lock first by turning
the crown toward you, then pull it to position “3”. Do not forget to
screw the crown back “IN” after all setting is completed.
2. Turn the crown towards you (hands moves clockwise) until the
date changes at approximately midnight.
3. Continue turning the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
If it is afternoon you must go past 12 o’clock again (noon) to set
the correct time.
4. When the correct time is set, push crown back to position “1”.
B. SETTING THE DATE
1. Pull crown to position “2”(See proceeding diagram). The watch
will continue to run.
2. Turn the crown away from you until the correct date appears.
3. Once the date is set, push the crown back to position “1”.
Note: Do NOT set the date between the hours of 8:00 PM and
3:00 AM.This would not damage the watch, but the date may need
to be reset later.
C. CHRONOGRAPH (CHRONO) ADJUSTMENT
If the chrongraph second hand is not positioned at the proper
starting position (12 o’clock or “zero” position), use the below
procedure. It does not need to be repeated unless the watch
receives an impact sufficient to move the hand out of position, or
the Battery has been changed.
1. Pull crown out to position “3”.
2. Push button “A” to move the Chrono Second hand (long hand) to
the “0” or 12 o’clock position. Each button push will move the
hand one step – BUT holding the button down will advance the
hand rapidly.
3. Push crown back to position “1”.
D. USING THE CHRONOGRAPH (CHRONO)
Note:
The maximum chrono reading is 60 minutes, However the
chrono will continue running once 60 minutes has passed. The
resulting one hour periods may be added together mentally to keep
track of longer periods.
For example – If you know that approximately one hour has
passed since you started the chronograph, and the chrono reads
25 minutes, then you know that the chrono has been running 60
minutes plus 25 minutes, which is one hour and 25 minutes.
1. Push Button “A” to start the chronograph. Push button “A” again
to stop the chronograph.
2. Push button “B” to return the two chronograph hands to the
“Zero” or starting point.
3. The Chronograph can be stopped and started again
(Button “A”), repeatedly, to “ADD” times together.
