Heating element does not shut off even when microwave is off

The heating element continues to stay on and heats even after the microwave turns off. You can hear a slight hum, even though the timer has run out, the turn table is off, and the lights are off. The only way to get it to shut off was to turn off the power to the microwave oven

SOURCE: Oven does not heat and makes loud, continuous "hum" when turned on and related to turning of oven table.

est the high voltage capacitor, the rectifier diode.or the magnetron. If all this are fine, test the control board.

Thediode and capacitors can br tested. The capacitor must bealloweddischarge before testing, or you risk to get electrocuted, evenifpower is off. Capacitors can get discharged by shorting theirtwocontacts.
Before replacing the magnetron test also the control board.
Replace the magnetron if the checks and all of the high voltage component tests are good, but the unit still does not heat.

I have a built in wall oven whirlpool gold mod.gbs309pvsoo controls turn on but no heat from element

Could be element could be Hi limit thermostat could be control. In that order. First step is turn breaker off and remove element to make sure the wires are still connected to back of element. Visually inspect element very good for burns or a white powder residue signally the element burned up. Next step is harder, need to remove the oven and take off back panel, there you will find the hi temp thermostat. Check for continuity, if none replace.

Microwave continues heating even when off

The microwave has a short. You need to replace it, there's no real fix for it. Keep it unplugged and dispose of it. It will eventually catch on fire, and this isn't an exaggeration.

Kitchen aid microwave will not heat

first check the fuse if cutoff, replace it. if ok, then check for any broken wire. if all connections are intact, then test the heating element for continuity, if no continuity, then the element is bad and needs replacement. try these steps

Sharp R-1510 1000 watts microwave, not heating

Sounds like the inverter (power supply for cooking) or the magnatron which does the work----neither are cheap parts.

Dryer is over heating, all thermo have been replaced along with motor and belt. Turn on and still shuts down and smells like its burning. Dryer is hot to touch.

dryer element is fused to metal housing thereby heating all the time as the element is grounded all the time making a closed circuit
