Silly question, but did the plumber open all the valves when he finished the job? The water to the dishwasher could still be cutoff.

Locate the hot water supply hose under the sink that connects and follow it over to where it will connect to the back of the dishwasher. Look for sharp bends in the hose. There should be a valve where the hose connects to the under-sink plumbing. Rotate that valve counter-clockwise to assure that it is open.

If the problem continues, the solenoid valve may have immediately failed. That valve is just behind where the hose connects to the dishwasher.

Good Luck!

Bosch Dishwasher SHE43C cycle takes too long

Domestic dishwashers work by taking cold water and soaking the dishes as the water warms. Then it gives a good wash at high pressure, drains, refills, rinses and then hot rinses to dry.

If it is slow because of slow filling, check the water pressure and also clean the strainer filters on the supply hoses where they go into the machine.

If you want speed, buy a small under-counter commercial machine. They fill with hot water, have a tank heater and a rinse tank heater and the whole cycle is 3 1/2 minutes. Glasses first, plates and cutlery next, and pots and pans last.

Seems to be a known issue!! Videos here with solutions

I have just moved into a resale home{two years old} and the bosch dishwasher has a terrible odor what do i do?

Works for me, empty the dishwasher of any dishes, silverware, pot or pans, get (2) jars of "Tang" orange drink. Use (1) jar to fill the soap dispenser and poor the rest into the bottom of the dishwasher.
Run the dishwasher through a normal wash cycle with no heat/dryer time.
Run a second time if necessary. The orange juice acid will dissolve the build up in the dishwasher and rinse it away. It also smells good when your done.
For regular maintenance, repeat once every 3 months or so. It will not harm the dishwasher and will keep the interior components fresh and clean.
Good luck.

Bosch dishwasher: won't fill with water

The flood switch is tripped. This is located under the unit. Unplug or flip the breaker to the dishwasher, take off the black kick plate under the door, 2 screws, and you will see the white plastic "pan". The flood switch is located where you can't really see it but it is on the left hand side wall and is made of styrofoam. The best thing to do is to put some rags in the pan, this is not easy because there is little room to put them, and soak-up the water that has filled the pan. Eventually you will get enough water out that the float will deactivate the switch. What you hear "running" when you turn it on is actually the drain pump, it get activated when the flood switch is tripped.

I stupidly put washing up liquid in my very old Bosch SPS 21/24 as i had run out of dishwasher tablets - a few bubbles leaked out but all seemd fine and now it makes all the right noises but nothing...

Take a shop vac and remove all the water and suds.
No shop vac...use a towel or sponge.
Then use a pot to manually fill the dishwasher with cold water. Set it to wash a few seconds then go to pump out setting.
Re-fill with cold water and repeat this process until the normal sounds return and the washer is clear of suds.
HOT water will not work. It only makes the suds worse.
COLD water only.
Repeat repeat repeat ubtil clear.

My bosch dishwasher does not fill with water (although it drains)

most bosch have the inlet valve at the end of the fill pipe and it has an anti-flood device.
try turning off the water, take off the fill pipe then reconnect it and see if this works.
taking off the fill pipe resets the anti-flood device

Dishwater not filling with water when switched on.

Hi nitwit2,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: Dishwater not filling with water when switched on.

Electric on? Good. 9 times out of 10 it's a bad solenoid valve. It's under the d/w behind the kickplate on the left. I don't recomend this repair for the average homeowner. You might look in the Repair Directory for a repairman. If you're up to it, I find removing the d/w from the cabinet facilitates installation.

Dishwasher is not giving out water

Call a plumber to check your water pipe or you could twist the tap cap back and fort. Runs the dishwasher, if no water still. change FILL VALVE this is an electro-mechanical device that opens a valve to allow water to flow.
May also be called a WATER VALVE or WATER FILL VALVE.
If this does not solve the problem , you need to change the control board.

Does sugestion solve your problem? let me know.
