SOURCE: DVD to TV conection

Exactly how, and what are you using, to connect the DVD to TV? DVD Model? Most DVD's don't have rf output for tuning on a TV, have to use A/V inputs.

I just purchased this DVD LG I'm trying to find out what channel to put it on to watch my DVDs on and I'm on DirecTV

There is usually a switch on the back of the DVD player to choose either channel 3 or 4. You will need to use the TV's remote not the direct TV remote. To change the source or input to the correct inpit mode on the remote select input then select the input mode that you plugged your DVD into ( tie. HDMI 1 or 2 ) then turn on DVD that should do it

I dont have cable.i was using this tv just to play dvds and i accidentally hit channel search. now i get a blue screen that says" plerase connect cable system or an antenna to the terminal on the back...

Hi:
Using remote locate a button called tv/video or Input, turn on the DVD player and hit this button until you see your DVD player Logo. Most dvd players use either video 1 or 2, or componet or HDMI outputs. Seems you have changed the TV's input back to TV mode and you need to change it to a video mode input.

How do i hook up a dvd player to my tv if i have cox cable? I dont know what channel to put my tv on. I know there has to be a way to watch a dvd without unhiiking the cable

Most DVD players have a coax input and output on them. But some newer ones don't. Assuming your does then you can run your DVD player to your TV with a coax cable you bet. Either on the back of the DVD player there will be a little switch or in the menu settings it will give you an option for channel 3 or channel 4. The same channel you select on the DVD player will be the same channel you will want to put your TV on. For the coax install run it from the output on your DVD player to the coax input on your TV. If you use a coax for cable too then just run you coax from the output on your cable box to the input on your DVD player.

I lost the manual to the magnavox dvd/vcr dual player so i dont know how to set it up. so i can watch dvds and vcr tapes.

The easiest way to hook up the combo is to use the cable in and out to tv connectors located in the rear. for this connection you will hgave to set the TV to Channel 3 or 4. You can usually download an owners manual from magnavox.com, you will need a model number.

How can i watch dvds on this old sanyo tv?

does your tv have a scart socket or is it pre scart, if it does, and you connect the dvd player via the scart then the tv should auromativally switch to av when the dvd player is switched on. failing that, if you have no scart, then the only way you can watch dvd is by connecting a flylead from dvd player to tv, (take out antenna and put it in that socket) and then start a search if you can, normally the buttons for this are behind a flap somewhere on the tv. if you have no scart or a way of tuning tv, then i dont think you can watch dvd through that tv

I have a magnavox dvd player and just had directv installed and I cannot get the dvd to recognize the directv channels. I can only record two digit numbers.

your best bet for this problem is to rearrange the way you have your direct tv and dvd hooked up to your television. a lot of the time you can plug the dvd player into the input/antenna in jack on the back of the receiver. that way you can watch all the channels you want AND be able to watch dvds without having to unplug and replug stuff in. more than likely you'll have to push an input or tv/vcr button in order to switch between watching direct tv and dvds, but it's a lot simpler than switching chords around.
