My mp3 songs from memory card not being played fully
I transferred 30 mp3 songs from my pc the external memory card and when i tried playing them after inserting the card to my shine, there is a problem. after playing 5 songs, for the 6th song, it says "format not supported", and stops playing. i removed the memory card and connected it to the pc and erased all files and copied just one file (which was not played in the first place), and it now plays in the phone. but, when i again tried to copy all the files, it again gives "format not supported" msg after playing some files. is the problem with my memory card or my phone?

#1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com #2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives. #3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive. #4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'. #5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place. #6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

REM file extension appears when media files are saved to device memory and are not removed when the media file is transferred to a computer.
You cant change this..after transferring the media file to the computer, rename the file to remove the .rem extension.
I had similar problem Was due to the fact I loaded straight on to the memory card ( pulling memory card out of mp3 and placing in memory card slot on pc to download the music) When it will only work if you connect the mp3 player to the pc with memory card still in mp3 player. then should download in correct format and in right place to play on mp3
i have this phone and have tried and there is nothing we can do cause the songs have to be saved to the phone its self and there is not enough memory to do that i guess thats the down side of having the black label series
Some of the Mp3 players require a particular directory structure. If required, this directory structure is created automatically when you format the card in the player itself. Make sure you take a backup before formatting the card as it will delete all data on the card.
After formatting, you may see few folders (unhide hidden files as well) You need to transfer in one of these. Also let me know how exactly transfer the songs if this does not resolve. If possible, also try giving few details.
To find your music on the SD, go to my stuff, sounds, external memory, mp3 and you should see your music. Playing it, however is another matter. You can play only one song. Then you have to manually play the next one. Not what I'd call an MP3 player.
If it is Only Razr V3 then probably youdon't have memoty card slot and the sadest part is it has got only 5 MB of space, which will allow you to store only one or two Mp3 song(s) depending upon the size. You can transfer it through Bluetooth.
If it is a V3i model having Memory card slot then it is even easier to down load by using Card Reader connected to PC. just drag & drop to the music folder in your memory card. In a memory card you can put lots of songs depending upon the size of your card, say 128MB can hold upto arround 30 nos of songs. Yes you can put choose the Mp3 as Ring Tone Also.
