GLEB30T8CSA upper oven baking element has no power

It may be you have a bad element. If you remove it and have a volt meter you could check a the socket for power. Also if the upper and lower elements are the same change the working one to the upper oven and see if it works. If it does you need to purchase a new element. If there is no power to the upper oven you may have a bad control ora broken wire behind the panel. I would advise you to turn off the power to the oven before pulling or changing any componets.

KitchenAid Model KESC307 has a broken oven heating element. Can you fix this yourself? How? How much is part?

Hello Tgilreath,

I understand that you are having a problem with you KitchenAid range. The oven element is broken and needs replaced and you would like to know the cost of the element.

I can instruct you on how to change the element in your range. However, I do not know if it is the top of bottom element and the change procedure is the same on both of them. However, when looking up the element to tell you where you can purchase and the cost I came across many different KitchenAid models that contained the numbers you gave. There should be more letters and numbers on your tag for the model.

The following is steps are how you change out your element:

1. Disconnect the power to the unit
2. Remove the lower back cover on your range (the one that sits directly behind your oven)
3. Locate the two prongs on the bad element sticking thru the oven wall and remove the wires
4. In the oven remove the racks
5. In the oven remove the two screws holding the element in place
6. Remove the element by pulling in forward
7. Install new element in Reverse

You can locate the element on Sears Parts Direct at the following web-page, however you will need the full model number http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/kesc307?pathTaken=modelSearch&prst=0&shdMod=kesc307 You may also reply to this thread and I will get you a part number and the exact page you need to order the part.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

I have an Amana stove model ART4002W. The oven will not heat above 250 degrees and the broiler element will not turn on. I replaced the broiler element and the heat sensor. No change.

if you have it on broil and the element doesn't heat up and you changed the element then you either have a loose or broken wire or a bad clock assy. part number 74009213 and it's around 166 dollars

HIs it possible to change the heating element. I'm convinced that mine is broken. How do i replace the element?

It will help if you provide the make and model number of the dishwasher. Also it will be useful to know why you think the heating element is faulty.

Won't heat, is the element hard to change?

Quite a job for a novice unplug unit take the two screws out of the front door panel at the bottom. pull out to about 45 degrees and you can see spring clips at top which should release as you pull up and out. give yourself some slack with the wires you can see how, set to the left, look down at the bottom right and you will see the heating element. there is a 1/4 screw in the very back top and two srews in front that hold the can in place, make a diagram of where wires go and remove them as you take out can. look for broken element if broken part #y303404 1-877-262-1479

Broken oven

First, verify it is the problem. (A working element has a conductive core, or wire, all the way through it). If the core wire is broken, it is defective. To verify it is broken, use an Ohmmeter - if value is above 500 Ohms the core is likely broken. Replace it.

To test without an Ohm meter, use a flashlight bulb and flashlight batteries, some wire and run the loop through the element. If bulb lights, core is ok.

If broken, take it in to any small appliance store as most oven elements are VERY similar. Likely they will have one in stock. They will be cheaper than over the internet.
