Technics SU-G91 OVERLOAD PROBLEM

I have a technics su g91 amplifier and speakers a and b will not work and i believe that it has to do something with the "over load" icon being lit up.  I was wondering what that specific icon represented and what i can do to fix it?

I also have an SU-G91 unit with the mentioned overload problem. my unit has been on the shelf for some time ( was not able to get two of the chassis screws out) and I decided to try opening. I hasd hoped to fine a fuse inside but the speakers do not seem to be fused. also looking for schematics thanks

It takes about 10 secs untill the overload light comes on. fan doesn't take in any voltage but the fan DOES work. Theres probably a problem within the output part of the crkt

Yes I had the same problem. I took it to a really good shop in town here and they said $200. So I paid. It hurt but what kind of Amp can you buy for $200. It was one of the IC's in my case. The heat sink
paste was melted out and brown and a little white (original color).
I have heard of a lot of guys by-passing the delayed fan (until about half throttle) and wiring it direct. The only fault I ever found with Technics is it runs to hot.
They need plenty of air to keep them cool.

I had the same problem. As soon as the volume reached about 24db it would go into overload. I was able to fix it by soldering all the connections on the larger power module. The one connected the the heat sink. When I took it apart there where several solder points that had come loose.

I have a technics GX 650 model. 3 years ago i put it inside my cabinet for the same reason that whenever i turned it on it stays in overload conditon. so this morning March 5, 2012 i try to dissamble the whole unit and cleaned it form dust by using paint brush and electric fan. i found the solution by just cleaning the unit fan circuitry its copper foil contacts and it works again. this unit is 19 years old already and back into its old form. so the only the circuit in the fan had a problem i thought it was the power ic.

OVERLOAD means that input signal level is too high. Can you be more specific? From which source you play music when OVERLOAD icon appears?

How do I hook up a stereo reciver to the technics su-g91

I assume you want to use the SU-G91 as a power amplifier to drive your speakers. If your receiver has connections for inserting an equalizer (may be labeled pre-amp output and power amp input), remove the jumpers between the pre-amp and the power amp, then run cables from the pre-amp to the SU-G91 inputs. You can have an equalizer between the receiver and the integrated amplifier.
If this is not available, use the recording output (for a tape recorder on older receivers). Note that the volume control on the receiver will be bypassed with this connection.
