I cant get a picture to display after just replacing the lamp

Lamp light blinking yellow means lamp door not installed.
Lamp light solid red and TV shut off is lamp error (did not light.)

After replacing the lame, the lamp time should reset. Otherwise, TV won't start. If you wish to get more details, check this site. Pull up older posts there. Check the site with patience, as it has over 2350 posts now. All are related to electronic equipment repair help. Tv red LED lights indication front of the bazel screen flashing are most common problems.When was the last time the projection lamp was replaced in this tv?The lamp in the tv now,is it in the the tv about 1 1/2 or 2 years and tv on watches about 4 or 5 hours a day in used?The projection lamp life are over.Require a new projection lamp.

Had similar problem. Thought it was the lamp. Examined old lamp but it appeared to be good. Ordered a new one anyway. Changed the lamp but the TV screen would not come on. It would make the usual noise as it was going to come on normally but it would cycle 3 times & then turn off. The LED lights in the front panel would indicate a defective lamp. Then read about the ballast. Changed the ballast & still same problem. Tried starting the TV without the lamp installed & noticed that the color wheel did not spin. Removed old color wheel & discovered it was broken. This appears to be the cause of all of my problems. I wish I new earlier of the test-turn on the TV without the lamp being installed & check to see if the color wheel is spinning. Would have save money on the lamp & ballast.

Yes the Lamp can fail within that time frame. Much of it depends on how many hours the set is running. Most Lamps have a 3000 to 5000 hrs of life. But with any Halogen style Lamp, this is not written in stone.

you have mention that after 10-15 seconds T.V starts up, will you give total description of the T.V within that 10-15 seconds?

This may be the main power supply, or the lamp supply. This is providing that the new lamp is okay.

The service tech will swap out the modules to service the set.
