Green slime in coffee machine

The machine is a KitchenAid Espresso Machine Model 5KES100.
When I removed the water resevoir to refill it I noticed that the water in the bottom was sludgy green. Easy enoght to wash that. However there is a clear plastic pipe and a black plastic pipe at the back. The clear one has green stuff inside. I epect the black one does too but difficult to see.

Try running a couple cycles through of full strength vinegar. If that doesn't do it run a weak bleach solution (6 to 1 / water to bleach) through it. Repeat vinegar every week then once a month if it clears.

I forgot to mention that after the cycles of vinegar or bleach be sure to run a rinse cycle or 2. Important!

Hi, I have a Kitchenaid 5KES100 espresso maker. It's making a loud noise and no water is coming through. Any help welcome.

The "percollator" column has become dislodged from the heating element. You may be able to see the tube in the water tank and move it back over the heating element. If you can't understand this info, then it is not for you to do it yourself.

Keurig coffee maker note making coffee. How do

if you are not getting any coffee made at all then descaling wont help you. i remove the water container and you will see a little hole with a screen inside of it. i either take tweezers and fish around for any particles that are in there. i was absolutly shocked to find little fuzz pieces. this dust will block up the machine so it wont work. i have also {at work} unplugged unit and take off water resevoir and put sink water into hole for a bit, being carefull not to complety soak whole unit . then i dry it well and plug it back in. works like a charm for me. i have 2 keurigs and 1 that i manage at work. as far as descaling , once its back running you could put a half cup of vinegar and fill the rest with water and keep making fake cups of coffee till empty . then i refill with clean water and run a couple more times. this is really good for keeping the needle free from getting plugged. as soon as i have any problem with my machine not making full cups of coffee i will clean that bottom screen under water resevoir, and it always works for me. good luck.

Clean brush

You can normally find a coffee pot cleaner in your local big box store (Walmart?) if not try running a cycle using vinegar rather than water. If that does not clear it out try unplugging the machine and using a bottle brush in the tank then turning it over the sink to dump out the slime. Be careful not to get water all over any of the electronics.

Machine makes a knocking sound

The pump probably has air in it, open the steam valve and pump it through.

I need a replacement shower screen for my KitchenAid 5KES100

A wire brush will clean it, it's only coffee. Chuck it in a glass of Coca Cola overnight.

Hi, I have a kitchenaid artisan espresso machine model 5KES100. The espresso boiler is not producing any water, just some steam or nothing at all. I have replaced the pump, but there is no water being...

I would remove the filter grille from the group head (Philips screw) and then clean the surface behind that sufficient that you can see and then unscrew the 2x Allen head bolts holding the aluminium puck in place. The puck will be frozen in place even after bolt removal but easily broken away by levering it with a large screwdriver. You can lever against the bracket that carries the group handle. Once you have the puck out scrape it clean and buff it up with a wire brush and clean out the 4 holes through the puck where the water is supposed to pass through on its way to the coffee. Check if the group seal has gone hard and replace it while the puck is out if it has. When done reassemble it. Blockage of those 4 holes is a very common cause of zero flow. It's doubtful the solenoids will be faulty but not impossible. It is possible that a solenoid coil has gone open though, testing and comparing with a meter or just swap the coffee and steam coils over will prove/disprove that one.

Hi all, got a Artisan 5KPES100 and I'm not getting any water thru' the espresso boiler. Machine is making an occasional noise & sometimes just releasing a bit of steam thru' the espresso boiler, but no water. Have replaced the water pump, but still no water being drawn from the water tank. Hose is NOT kinked & there IS sufficient water in tank. Could it be the solenoid? Can I swap over the solenoids(coils) to check as frothing boiler is still producing water & steam? Any ideas would be magic.

I have a kitchenaid KPES100PM espresso machine and every now and then water will start leaking from underneath the machine.

Push the center top of the water tank in as far as you can without breaking it. Do this each time you refill.

Water not pumping into coffee maker

Sounds like a bad pump...I would contact Keurig Customer Service if your machine is still under warranty -- they will probably send a replacement.
