Re: Kenmore electric range, model 790.9661. While baking in oven it started beeping and flashed F10 ERR. Told me to press stop/clear to stop beeping. Didn't work had to stop by turning off circuit breaker. Oven does this each time I try to use. What is F10 ERR. Want to avoid paying for service visit if I can repair myself.

Take a flat head screw driver and gently pretty the door. The temp decreases fairly rapidly and then the lock is disabled. Good luck!

SOURCE: f10 error on kenmore elite electric built in model 790.4907

Try unplugging the unit from the wall, wait 5 minutes and replug back in. I had same thing happen to me a few months ago. I had to leave my stove/oven unplugged for 24 hours to finally get it to reset itself. It is working fine now.

Looks like you have a runaway temperature problem.
I will guess that the oven is electric and the top burners are gas, as it is with most dual fuels.
Like like an oven sensor or board problem. The quickest way to find out what the error codes mean is to Google it. Then re-post your question for a more specific answer.
The error codes should also be in your customer user manual.

When I try to bake anything once it gets hot the oven turns off and it starts to beep and the code F30 pops up. I have no idea what that meens.

Same thing happened to mine this morning....cut the circuit breaker for a hour....open oven and let it cool....
mine stopped, finally. Dont know if its a long term fix yet.. but at least it stopped the beeping.
