Light flashing while water is flowing means you have a bad control board. Needs to be replaced. They can be purchased online

Got central heating but no hot water

I had a lot of issues with my water heater last month as well. However, it was really cold outside and it turned out that pipes were freezing up. If it's really cold at your place, try letting the water drip lightly out of the faucets to keep the water moving. That's what I did. How cold is the temperature and how long have you been dealing with this issue? If it lasts for more than a couple of days, then you should have a plumber come and check it out. The red light on the water heater keeps flashing

Attached to the water heater is a troubleshooting chart for your sequence light. 1 flash means..., 2 flashes means...., and so forth. Find the chart, count the flashes and see what it means and we'll go from there. Douglas

Water heater keeps cutting off and flashing code 12, will work great for hours then do this, i have checked electrical and ground all ok.

If you are on LPG try your regulator. The cheaper ones tend to stick, especially in cold mornings.

Sometimes the hot water just goes cold

Here are a couple things to look for:

1) flashing burner light - a flashing burner light indicates the unit is getting an error code
common error codes:
A. continuous flashing - ignition failure or abnormal combustion; look for visible water in the machine indicating a leak, check gas pressure, debris or buildup on flame rod/igniter plug, or clean unit with compressed air
B. 3 flashes - error 16, abnormal outlet water temperature; typically this code indicates you'll need to descale you unit
C. 4 or 5 flashes - exotic error codes; you should contact Noritz technical support to deal with these codes

2. If there is no flashing code, try increasing the hot water flow. In the summer time you typically use less hot water; this can result in intermittent operation of your tankless heater. Increase water flow by either: A. cleaning your showerhead and removing scale deposits B. widening your flow restrictor C. Remove your flow restrictor in the showerhead

3.If none of these resolves your problem, you probably have debris in your flow sensor. Contact Noritz technical support for a walkthrough on removing debris from a flow sensor.
