Only thing that fixes itself after cooling is the main motor. Either motor is failing, or something is binding preventing tub from turning, or making tub hard to turn. Can have hair binding support rollers. Will need to turn tub by hand , counter clockwise to determine if it's hard to turn, if so remove tub and inspect rollers, if they don't turn freely replace rollers.
Ol is rarely actually over loaded. Check the tub by pulling up on it. You should get a slight movement .The tub floats .if if doesn't the shaft and tub will need to be cleaned with sand paper. Also check for obstruction under the tub. Turn the tub by hand it should turn freely. Good luck.
Turn off all power to the hot tub as soon as you realize it is
overheating. The spa should have an automatic shut off when the water
temperature reaches about 112 degrees fahrenheit. Call your hot tub dealer or manufacturer for service options. There are a
variety of conditions that could lead to the overheating of your hot
tub, but may differ in various hot tub models and brands. Check the water level of the hot tub. Low water levels could be the culprit for the over heating, so you may just need to add more water to the hot tub. Check the shut-off valves in the hot tub. If they are closed while the hot tub heater is on, it could cause the water to reach unsafe temperatures. Clean the hot tub filter. A dirty filter could be blocking the flow of water, causing the water to sit in the hot tub and overheat. Turn the power back on after finding the problem and talking to the hot tub dealer. The hot tub will probably not start back up until the water reaches a safe temperature
My washer was doing the same thing. I had a magic marker on the bottom of the plastic tub below the inner tub. The agitation cam could not release for spin. I remove the magic marker and she took off. This video shows how to get the inner tub out:
Hi, Unless you can get to the bottom of the tub either through the floor below or the wall in front of the tub.... you do not want to do that... To change it you may need to change some of the piping to the tub drain.... It is possible that you can take a needle nose pliers and turn the tub piece out by sticking the pliers through the webing in the tub drain and turn the CCW also.....but if the bottom piece is not the same thread.. or the piece moves... you may not be able to get the new piece started and then your in BIG trouble...
tub, is the lid switch plugged in? If not take a jumper wire and jump out the two ends on the harness. Timer controls recirculation and spin. The motor turns both ways. The spin cycle goes through the lid switch. Catriver..post back
