Display panel The timer display on my Hotpoint WD640 washing machine displays 0.02 minutes of a cycle remaining. I have turned the dial in an attempt to re-set the timer but it still shows 0.02 mins. I have let the cycle run, it then displays "end" and reverts back to 0.02mins. I have switched the machine off at the plug, but this has not helped. The previous wash and dry ran fully and was not stopped with two minutes remaining so am unsure where this has come from. Please help!!

The last time the washing machine worked succesfully, it was on a drying programme so there are definitely no water or suds left in the machine. We have cleaned the filter but it has made no difference. I cannot use any wash/dry programme as it does not seem to recognise the programme selected and continues to show 2 mins remaining... Any more suggestions?? Many thanks

Check to see if any water remains in the machine . SOME MACHINES IF They DO NOT DRAIN OUT ALL THE WATER WILL CONTINUE TO run until all water is drained. Also check for suds in machine if machine senses suds it will try to re rinse the clothes. If your machine has a filter at the bottom clean it out .

see if you can gain access to the bottom some machines have a service manual inside the machine to help aide the tech. and may have codes the 02 may be a code that tells the tech. what is wrong. Sorry i do not have a lookup for your machine .also you may want to call the manufacter the to may have a tech. line

Wd640 hotpoint washer dryer the time display is

It can be the timer processor is fault and is not accepting any other program than one that is set into. remove plug and remove control board , clean and reset with tight connections, check the processor section, solder the IC and associated sections, now set back and set the clock and try once again after cancelling - pressing stop for few seconds.
If the fault stays it is problems in the timer control PCB,but it might change with prolonged resetting ,if there was dirt inthe PCB.

My hotpoint qasher/dryer aquarinus super silent wd640 1400 spin just says test on displays and does not let me wash :(

The only advice I can give is to turn the appliance off and remove the plug from the power socket for at least one minute then plug it back in and try it again. These machines have 3 phase motors and the heat sink on the module retains an electric charge for some time after the appliance has been switched off so be mindful if you decide to venture into the inside of the cabinet.

Fault f13

Hi. F13 indicates dryer fan motor or thermistor problem
If you can't hear the fan motor running on the dry cycle then it is probably faulty.
Hope this helps.
Please feedback.

INTERMITANT FAULT

This is a plumbing error and not a machine error. H20 means "water turned off or valve faulty"
