My Bosch 52dBa dishwasher used to complete auto wash in about 100 mins. But suddenly jumped to 138. Normal wash (which I never much used before) is still timed at 99 minutes. Found and cleaned filter and removeable grille on floor of machine, changed back to gel detergent. Water is nice and hot, dishes coming clean. Why such a suddenly long cycle time? Machine is two years old, replacing six year old Kenmore that CAUGHT FIRE on Christmas Eve. That machine was an orphan stuck in the midst of a long list of machines recalled for potentially catching fire. No joy from Sears, no joy from Whirlpool. Shame, shame, shame... But back to my Bosch. Any ideas?

There must be a problem in the control panel, they are about $200 so I would live with it.

It seem that your DW drain it's water by syphon action. Check if the drain hose is properly installed as a U shape; otherwise the DW can drain itself at any time, leaving the soap undissolved .

SOURCE: DIshwasher Cycle TIme INcreases by 20 minutes over two years

Try cutting the breaker off for 5 min, This will reset the control. The issue is in order for a dishwasher to clean the dishes properly the water in the dishwasher needs to be at least 120 deg f. If its not the dishwasher keeps adding more time with the heater on to try to achieve this temp. The dishwasher only uses about 1 gallon of water per fill so if the water heater is a ways away or the temp is not hot enough, the water temp in the dishwasher will not reach 120.

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

My dishwasher suddenly won't wash hot on either the normal auto setting nor the eco one.

Do you find water left in the dishwasher bottom at cycle end???? It sound like your drain line is partially or completely blocked or possibly a bad drain pump depending on model. If it can't drain completely it can't refill with hot water. That will also explain an increase in the cycle time. Some dishwasher add time because it is trying to heat the water up. Its a loosing battle if the water isn't partially hot to begin with.

Bosch silence plus 50 dba has error code h01

The statement below can be found at: http://www.ehow.com/list_6978265_bosch-dishwasher-error-codes.html,

The SHU4326 and 4326 models use "Regular Wash" and "Rinse Hold" to begin the test while the other three series in this section use "Scrub Wash" and "Delicate/Econo," but all use the same set of fault codes, shown not as lights but as numbers on the Cycle Countdown display. Here, 1 is an aqua sensor fault, 2 is a heating fault, 4 is a filling fault, 8 is an NTC fault and 0 means that everything is working as it ought. During an actual wash, when you aren't testing, the Cycle Countdown display may show the letter "F," which also signifies a filling fault.

Dishwasher instructions

Hello, welcome to Fixya.

Typically the "normal" wash cycle should be sufficient and take anywhere from 60min to 120min. under normal conditions. ( Though 120 mins is quite long and should only occur if you had a low hot water supply, i.e. many people showering at the same time ).

The one variable in this is "normal". These machines when connected normal or proper should have a hot water supply and a heating capacity of 2 degrees per minute until reaching 150 degrees.

The other "tip" to consider is the numbers in the display ( depending on the model...not all have led displays ) is not actual time, just estimated time based on the previous cycle.

If you select a normal wash and run the hot water tap at your sink before starting the machine and it still takes in excess of 2.5 - 3hrs. to complete, there's likely a heating problem.

Let me know and we can go from there. The B/S/H/ ( Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau & Siemens ) dishwasher's have had some issue with the heater relay on the control boards dating back to the early to mid 90's. Just browse through the bosch dishwasher problems and solutions under my profile... http://www.fixya.com/myprofile/solutionsfiltered.aspx?ctgid=131&usrid=3604823

and you'll see what I mean.

Thank you for visiting "fixya", please take a moment and rate the info I provided for you here and also let me know if you require any further assistance.

Good luck.

My blanco dishwasher makes a humming sound but does not pump water or work

I have a Blanko BDW126X that would do a PRE-WASH (8min) cycle with no problems but when I tried a NORMAL (250 min) or a RAPID (90 min)cycle there was a very loud buzzing noise after about 2 minutes of operating most of the technicians on this forum point to a fault pump.

I do not know if this will work for you but it certainly fixed my problem, try this...

I ran 7 PRE-WASH cycles one after the other allowing the machine to 100% complete the cycle, then I tried a NORMAL wash cycle. The blockage in the pump was cleared and my dishwasher again works brilliantly.
