Print head needs replacing, appears to be a common problem with these Kodak printers, if new it should be covered under warrenty although good luck trying to get through to Kodak, I sent mine back in the end for a refund as long term print heads are expensive and they don't appear to last long

Bad new catridge not impossible, I would return the catridge to the store.

I had a problem with the 5300 not printing black, but would print color. It was the print head. call Kodak support and they will send you a new one.

You will probably only get true borderless prints directly from the camera. I always get 1/4" at both ends when printing from the computer.

Check your settings in the print window that comes up when you start a print job. You probably have "Print colors as black" selected. Unselect it.

The paper size must be set to borderless in both the application (MS Word) and the printer driver. To set borderless printing in the application, follow the steps below.

1. Click File , then Page Setup .
2. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Paper tab.
3. Under Paper Size, select the appropriate borderless paper size.

To select borderless printing in the printer driver, follow the steps below.

1. In the application, click File , and then click Print .
2. In the Print dialog box, click Properties , and then click the Paper/Quality tab.
3. Select the appropriate borderless paper size.

HINWEIS: Under Paper Type, you cannot choose plain paper and print borderless. Choose photo or brochure paper instead.
