This computer charger i have will hardly work half the time and only by luck can i get it at a good angle to charge what can i do?
There is 2 possible problems, 1) the connector on the computer side (motherboard) is damaged and 2) the power cord from the power supply is damaged.
1) you can really a lot about unless you bring it to a computer shop to repair. BUT I would check for #2
2) Go to a computer store like best buy and get a universal power supply that works for your laptop and try it out first. If it works well. then its not #1 problem.
9 years late , really?
and his battery was bad 9 years ago
and worse yet, 9 years again it is bad again.
batteries do not last 9 years.
some fail in 1 year (a fact) and for abuse.
Abuse is not running on AC power when present. The battery makers web site is clear on that.
the PC runs on AC for ever, battery out.
so the PC is fully serviceable, unless OFF THE GRID.
9years later? really?
his battery is bad,
that is first, not a $300+ bill from geeksquad,
gee its just a battery bad.
as all do fast.
in fact I bet his 2009 battery failed again in 2018, wow.
9 years late?

I have the same problem. I have gone through 2 cords, and sent it in once for them to take a look at it. They claimed they fixed it but it was olny fixed for about a week untill it stoped working.
