1. Turn the controller on.

2. To lock the chair, depress and hold the ON/OFF button. After one second the controller will beep. Release the ON/OFF button. Move the joystick forward until the control beeps. Move the joystick in reverse until the control beeps. Release the joystick. There will be a long beep that indicates the controller is locked.

3. To unlock, turn the control system on. The speed/response indicator will be rippling up and down. Move the joystick forward until the control beeps. Then move the joystick in reverse until the control beeps. Release the joystick. There will be a long beep that indicates the controller is unlocked.

This is from the manual, I hope it helps you.

Hoveround won't move.

Double check to be sure drive levers are fully engaged. Go down and up a few times. If problem persists have Hoveround come and check it out. One of the drive motors may have shorted out when you continued driving with gravel in the wheel.

Can a joystick controller from a hoveround mpv5 chair work with a heartway allure chair

They both have VSI joystick controllers. There are many variations of connections but as long as the connections match up, there should not be a problem switching them.

Need a owners manuer for hoveround mpv5

Contact Hoveround at 800-964-6837. If you are not the first owner of the power chair, you will need to register your chair into your name so that a part order can be created. Manuals are $20 plus shipping. To register your power chair, give them the previous owner's name or the serial number, which is located in the opening for the manual brake release just above the footrest.
Good luck!

Chair will power up, however lights just blink constantly. The joy stick will not work. Hoveround Teknique.

jfinch sorry it took so long to answer. If all the lights are blinking check to make sure that the freewheel levers are in drive mode. then check (if you have the power seat option ) that the seat is all the way down, and finally the problem could be in the controller check to make sure that the cable connection to the controller is well seated. If all these are correct and you still get the error then you will have to contact Hoveround tech support to find out what else you can do. They might have to send out a tech to look at the chair. Sorry I couldn't give you a quick fix Hope this helps you

LOOKING FOR CONTROLLER FOR HOVEROUND MPV5

Those are only available through Hoveround and retail for around $1159.00. You may want to have a Hoveround Tech come out to diagnose the power chair for $50 to make sure that is what you need before spending that kid of money.
