Chainsaw leaks chain oil when not in use

Two chainsaws do the same thing, a Husky 55 Rancher and a Husky 395XP. I keep them clean by disassembling the bar, chain, etc., but oil still leaks out in between useage.

You might try loosing the oil cap on the chain oiler filler cap to release any preasure that might have built up during use and is forcing oil out as it sits. It sounds like a simple fix but it might just work.

The oiler on most chainsaws is designed to be gravity fed. For that reason, if there is oil in the oiler it will drip out. There is no fix to this except for awareness. When possible stop work when you need to refill the oiler. when not possible, expect it to leak and plan for it. for example, store the saw in a tray with some oil-dri absorbant clay in the bottom.

I have a new 455 rancher chainsaw husky 20inch bar chain keeps coming off new chain

You may have a bent bar, or you could be putting the chain on a little too loose. Perhaps the chain is not getting lube ?
Possible that the chain tentssioner and or adjustment is loosening up as you are using the unit. Other than that maybe a defective new blade ?

395XP chainsaw

The 395 has an electronic ignition, as this unit works off speed of rotation you need to make sure you are cranking the engine fast enough to check for a spark, to eliminate the switch and wire, dissconnect the wire from the unit itself, now try for a spark, if still no spark with a new plug, you will have to replace the unit

455 rancher chainsaw does not pump oil to the chain

If you look under the machine by the chain you'll see a flat head screw (next to the sprocket) which controls the bar and chain oil flow . Try to turn the screw and check if there's any oil flow to the chain . If not you will need to replace the oil pump (part # 537 10 55-02 which will cost you about $35.00) Hope this help
