The dishwasher does not drain all the way anymore after running it. If, when the cycle has completed, I open it and close it, it will start to drain and then stop. If I run the 10 min rinse cycle, it will often drain then but not every time. It seems like it's a switch problem. Like it "thinks" it's drained it enough. I tried "rebooting" it by turning off the power for a few minutes but that didn't help. Bosch SHX46L Thanks!

Certainly sounds like the float is stuck in the over filled position or possible a bad float switch. Could also be a bad water fill valve - if you can blow air through it when removed then you need to replace it. You can follow this link to troubleshoot your washer, but note that its not exactly for your model - http://www.thermador.com/replacementparts/main/pdfs/SHU-complete-troubleshooting-guide.pdf Good luck!

fault is that there is a leak. the tray at base of dishwasher is full of water which operates a float and turns on drain pump. tilt over 45deg and water will run out and then it will work or remove bottom front panel and mop out (better). then find leak

We were told by Bosch to not use lemon scent. Use the original generic soap with NO sprakle or smell because the jet dry does the rest. Just let the soap be soap. Hopes this helps.

We also have this problem. Dishes smell like golf course irrigation water. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Do we call a repairman?

I think I may have figured out a work around (by accident). Start a cycle (any cycle), once it starts hold down Scrub Wash and Delicate/Economy at the same time for 3 seconds and the cycle will immediately finish (counting down quickly then to CL) and it will begin to drain. I had to do this 3 times(draining more each time) but the end result was a completely empty bottom of the Dishwasher.
To be honest I think this is the first time the thing has ever been completely empty! I wish I was joking...

new information: the problem isn't that it's not draining but rather it seems to be refilling between cycles
