Check the storage, or electrical parts fuse below the steering wheel area. Replace the remote battery, pay attention to polarity. there is a plus + sign on the back case. then hold the lock and unlock button few seconds untill lights on car flash. then when you replace the remote , to program a new one, close door, use lock button on door to lock, put key in ignition, then remove ten times untill the turn signals flash, then put key in, turn ign to 1st position accessory, then push a button on 1st remote, then unlock lock with door button, then push a button on second remote, turn off ignition open door the it is done. be sure that car battery has more than 12 volts and test the key in reminder does ding and work ok when key put into ignition sw. when trouble shooting
Hi
If the remote still working it self probably needs synchronizing,
to do so, turn the ignition ON,then turn the ignition OFF remove the key.
within 1 minute press and hold the lock button, press unlock button 5 times while you still holding the lock button. test the remote.
Good Luck
Use the key to lock and unlock door or truck, this is the same as using the remote. go to a door or the trunk and lock and unlock and then try to start the car, let me know the outcome. good day.
Depending on the system you have installed... There is a reset procedure that must be done... It entails you first using the remote to lock the doors then get into the car by unlocking the door with the key get in the car and lock the doors, turn the key on, then off, manually unlock the door, open it exit the car after manually locking the doors. Close the doors... next unlock the door with the remote and all should be well. If not disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and retry. Hope this works
some cars are fitted with a valet key/lock 3 keys supplied new 2 normal 1 with a flute running down the middle.key with flute will not unlock the tailgate/glove box.tailgate has 2 positions key upright=locks with central locking.key turned to the left,(or right, cant remember which)then released to upright, locked, needs key to access.independant of central locking.
Lock then unlock the doors with the power lock button, with all doors closed (key not in ignition). If this doesnt work, try again using the key to lock and unlock from the driver door, with all doors closed.
most likely the lock in the door might be bad if you cant lock it with the key then the sensor in lock is bad or the linkage bar came off need to pull door panel and look
Sounds like the rod that goes from the lock to the key came off. There is usually a little plastic clip that holds it together and they break and you get what you are experiencing. You have to take the inside panel off of the door to get inside it.
