OK did you ever try to hack your system did you open the inside of it did you drop or smash it or leave it in extreme temps if not it might be the result of poor cable connection, first turn off your Xbox 360 and check out the cables that are connected to the system. Remove them and re-connect them firmly. Now switch on your Xbox 360 again. There is a good possibility that you will find the fuzzy purple screen gone. If you still find a fuzzy purple screen then this might be a bit more complicated problem that your system is experiencing. Usually system overheating is one of the major reasons that cause various Xbox 360 errors

this seems like a component cable issue, are you connecting the system to an hdtv? if so check the component connections to make sure its connected to the proper ports.

Screen freezes and turns pink sometimes during game play

This is a precursor to a bigger problem. If this just started and you have an older Xbox, you should start to expect game crashing and potentially the Red Rings of Death. Try to clear your system cashe and play a different game. Otherwise, expect more problems.

XBOX Live plays back with pink hue

*YOU DO NOT NEED TO SWITCH TO STANDARD DEFINITION*

To view the videos via HDMI, you need to switch the HDMI Color Space setting to "RGB". To do this go through:

My Xbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Display > HDMI Color Space > and from there select RGB

I had this same issue when watching movies from a USB flash drive and this worked perfect, so I hope this helps those of you who love your HDMI as much as I do.

Xbox 260 wont turn on

Hello.
It sounds like one or more of the GPU connections has a bad connection. This means it is very close to dying from the 3 lights of death. Your unit needs to be sreviced by a professional or Microsoft.

Pink screen?

I'm guessing that it's a texture error in the 3d graphics, I'd try deleting any game saving files, but I'm not sure if that will work, so do it at your own risk. It might just be the game, in that case you will have to contact the people who made it.
